Steemit Engagement Challenge: My Declaration of unconventional love by @majerius

Hello to all and God bless you all, i thank the Steem Venezuela community for this beautiful topic and contest for us to discuss on. It's quite a beautiful thing to declare your love for something. And today by the grace of God I'll be declaring my unconventional love for medical science.

Technology as a whole is a science which explains the know how of a person in a particular field. Many people think that when we mention technology we must surely mean that electricity and functioning with current is involved. But i tell you that a technician can also be someone who has nothing to do with appliances. An example is the "technicien de surface" as the french man calls the Cleaner. Who only uses water and soap and a rag to do his or her work.

I am making this illustration to let us understand that being a Laboratory technician doesn't mean that you fix laboratory equipments necessarily but it entails something even bigger.

Even though i have fallen in love with many things in the world and technology, the bible and football are one of those, Medical Laboratory Technology is a field which i fell in love with from my Advanced level. This field is just so amazing. Imagine there was no one in the laboratory, then there will be no one to diagnose through tests what is wrong with a particular patient. Infact the doctor will be lost in drug administration and will only work by chance and trial by error.

From my conception it was you they used to determine if everything was set for me to come to the world. My health parameters are determined by you and you alone to make sure that the doctor makes no error in treating me.

Mom came to your office every week to make sure that i was growing healthy and in good state. Finally when I came they referred me to you in order to make sure I was all healthy. The kind of blood and human i am was determined by you.

Even when I am not feeling too well and my friends reject me, you are always there to collect my faeces, blood and urine to take care of me. You're never ashamed of how i come, but always make sure I leave very healthy by the tests you array out with my fluids.

Now i am old enough and i have plans to marry. They still refer me to you for routine checks on whether i am compatible with whom i am to marry and have kids or not. You seem to follow me everywhere i go and whenever i want to take a bold step in life. I imagine not coming to you to check my status and i finally have sickle cell children! What a catastrophy.

If professions was a competition then i think they should hand over to you the trophy.
You've shown me love beyond measure and now i can't measure how much i admire you. I left my dreams of becoming a footballer just to follow you because without you, even the footballers are lost.

I found love while studying Biochemistry in the University and specialising in you oh laboratory technology because you are the heart of the hospital. I hold you so close to my heart.

I went in for Biochemistry thinking it was a combination of biology and chemistry but i fell on medical laboratory technology which is the study of how well i can handle body Fluids as a whole.

There will be a hole in my heart if i say i love you every day of my life as i practice this noble profession. I profess my unconventional love for you because your love for me is unconditional.

Saving lives has always been a passion to me, as it made me find a sense of purpose in life. You might ask me how in earth i save lives without being a doctor. I'll answer you by saying that until a problem is clearly identified, the solution will always be a puzzle. I function by investigation and giving feedback of the investigation.

Daily i interact with different patients, different kinds of people and of different religions and beliefs. I thank God i chose Biochemistry at school finally. What else is there to say? You have captured my heart.

Biochemistry is a beautiful field but is is even more cute when you minor in Medical lab technology. A place where you have the ability to help humanity in solving a particular problem by knowing the problem itself. My love for this field is unmatched, i love my profession eith passion and it makes me feel even more loved when you discover that you had so much to learn about it at school but on the field you still learn about it. What a privilege it is.

Medical Laboratory Technology is a beautiful place, and I'd advise anyone to go in for this beautiful field. It's my heartbeat and my most passionate desire to continue helping lives and families gain their smile.
