Once upon a time when I was a Child!

I was born as the last child in our family. I had a brother and a sister as siblings. As I was smaller than everyone else in our house, I was pampered a lot. They cared more. I grew up not knowing what hardship was. I have done a lot of mischief.

I'd like to share a fascinating anecdote about when I used to go out with my father when I was kid and he used to wear a black coat. I could run up and take his hand if he took off his fingers and I recognised him by his coat. That's how he once walked away from my hand when I went out on a walk. me as well smiling, I went to hold the hand of a different man who was passing by and was wearing a similar black coat. But later I realized he wasn't my father when I saw his face.

I began crying right away, and the man, scared, left me there as well. I continued to cry until a driver in a truck drove up and came to me , asked me some questions, took me to a police station. They asked me some questions, revealed that my father was a teacher, and any how identified my father, and informed him of the situation. My father was concerned and in a panic for nearly two hours, missing me. Finally, he cam to the station and took me to home. I have already written about this story in another post on steemit long ago.

I was born in the eighties and grew up as an 80s and 90s kid. We all know it was a golden times, because kids back then played more physical games than kids do today. Similarly, we also play with many children in our streets. Since I was in a hilly area, there was no level playing field in front of our house, so we had a grassy level a little distance from our house where all the children would gather and play there. Some play run and catch, some play hide n seek, some play carts with rolling tires, we have happily played games like skipping rope, seven stones and jumping.

Once while playing seven stones game like that, one of my friends threw a stone at me instead of the ball and it hit me on the head bleed, then his mother saw it and took me to the hospital and treated me for it.

As we used to live in the hills, we used to go to our relatives' houses during the summer holidays, usually our relatives who were in the plains went to their relative's houses. Then we went to the rivers there and played in the water. My girlfriends tried to teach me to swim because I didn't know how to swim but I couldn't learn to swim because of fear. I stayed on the shore and left the water sports.

At that time there were very few motor vehicles. The family had only one vehicle and that was driven only by the head of the family. Since we were in the hilly area, the bicycles were not driven that much. So summer vacation was when we went to relative's house, there I cycled with my friends and they taught me how to cycle which was very happy.

Once, while riding a bicycle on the street, a woman was walking with an earthen pot on her head, selling buttermilk. No matter how much I rang the bell, she did not hear my bell sound due to her voice about selling buttermilk. I could not control the bike at that time and crashed into her. Her pot fell down and broke.

Childhood is a time to spend happily without any worries and I am enjoying my childhood. I think there are many more things to share with you.
