Fast food is a mass-produced food product with an emphasis on speed for commercial sale. or in advance and they are dressed take-out/to-go packaging offered for take-out/to-go.

Fast food is usually deficient in nutrients. According to a 2015 review, fast food contains many unhealthy substances. It contains added sugar, salt, saturated or trans fats, and many processed preservatives and ingredients. It also lacks some beneficial nutrients.

Fast food can contain refined grains instead of whole grains, saturated fat, cholesterol and added sugars, as well as high amounts of sodium (also known as salt), which acts as a preservative, making food tastier. And makes it satisfying.

However, not all fast foods have negative effects, and people can make informed choices by researching the nutritional value of certain fast foods. You can find this information on most major restaurant websites.

I live away from my house so first of all I clear that I did not prepare fast food at my home Subway also visit sometime to pizza shop(DFC)in lahore I have a big dream to prepare fast food in my home but I live away from my home so it is not possible to prepare the fast food at home now I discussed a pizza shop where we go sometime with our friends.

First time I went to the shop then about two years ago then I left my home and go to Lahore it is my first experience in any pizza shop but this experience was so good with the help of my friends first of all the pizza shop I saw a poster In this poster all the pizzas and menu With their prize. we choose kabab stuffer with bottles after sometime we eat fingertips and zinger burger.

My first experience then I went on pizza shop DFC we ordered somethings we discussed in the below:

  • 3 large pizzas 🍕
  • Hot Wings
  • Bottles
  • Sandwiches

The price of these things is about 4000 here some pictures of these things so lets see:

I have already described that I was at the pizza shop with my friend so this is a picture of my friends with me at pizza shop:

so this is our first experience to eat pizza with my friends at the DFC I never forget this because it's my first experience.

Fast food is often high in sugar, salt, and saturated or trans fats. When a person eats fast food, the body's response to these nutrients can cause many short-term effects.

1)Increased blood sugar

Fast food breaks down quickly and causes a rapid rise in blood sugar due to refined carbohydrates and added sugar. This, in turn, causes an abnormally large increase in insulin, which in turn causes a drop in blood sugar levels. It can tire people. Insulin stimulates more hunger immediately after a meal.

2)Blood pressure

A small 2016 study found that eating too much salt can immediately affect the normal functioning of a person's blood vessels. Excessive sodium intake is also associated with fluid retention.

3)Increased inflammation

A 2015 study found that eating foods high in saturated fat increased airway inflammation in people with asthma. This inflammation is the trigger for asthma attacks.

4)Affects nutrient absorption

Fast food usually lacks fresh fruits and vegetables. If a person regularly eats fast food, it may be difficult for them to meet the recommended daily intake of at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables. They may also have trouble reaching their ideal fiber intake, which is 28 grams per day, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.

Fast food is very palatable, which means it breaks down quickly in the mouth and does not require much chewing. Therefore, it rapidly stimulates the reward center in the brain.

This combination trains the palate to prefer these highly processed, highly stimulating foods and reduces cravings for whole, fresh foods.

A 2018 study and other previous studies have shown a link between eating fast food and eating more of these nutrient-poor foods.

A small 2017 study of 15 adults found that a high-fat diet decreased insulin sensitivity. This can lead to a cycle of binge eating or compulsive eating.

Recommendations for the people who eat fast food daily.

There's no better way to deal with cravings than to plan meals and snacks in advance. When healthy meals and snacks are prepared for you at lunch and throughout the day, you're less likely to eat leftover pizza, order french fries, or eat the candy you brought into the office.

In other words, you reduce your "food signal response." Researchers call it your sensitivity to the smells of food, advertisements and conversations that surround you every day.

Try planning your weekly meals on Sunday or the day before the work week begins. Go shopping for the groceries you need. Then prepare plenty of light meals such as brown rice, beans, stir-fried or roasted vegetables, or a cold salad.

Use food containers, jars, or foil to wrap portions that you can pick up when you leave the house in the morning. Fruits like apples, bananas and oranges are easy to carry around the table and are convenient for lunch.

Conclusion

@jani786, Very good explanation about the content of fast foods, I see nothing healthy, besides that it increases the body weight of people, they also raise blood pressure and increase blood glucose.

Definitely nothing healthy for our body.

I don't eat fast food although 3 months ago I ate a pizza it was delicious.

The fish Paskoras caught my attention, I love fish.

Thanks for sharing your opinion on fast food, firstly I don't take too much fast food, I prefer homemade, but fast food is important for most govt workers and saves time, but the negative side is to be looked out for as you have shared some with us and your recommendation are good
