SEC-S7W6 – Life Stories

in Steem Venezuelalast year

Greetings my lovely friends!

The story I’m going to share might have two different scenarios. Life is full of surprises, and one incident can change everything. When I was in school, I had a friend who lived a very simple life. I thought her family was not doing well financially, so I helped her a lot with what I have. However, one day, I found out that her mother was a well-known government servant with a good salary, and her father also made a living. I couldn't understand why they were living such a modest life.

As time went by, everyone else started to notice how this family was cutting back on expenses and living like they were poor. In Sri Lanka, families usually like to show off their wealth and live beyond what they have, but this family seems to had a different goal which I couldn’t understand.

Unfortunately, one day, my friend's mother fell ill and had to spend months in the hospital for treatment. Sadly, she did not recover and passed away. After her death, everyone started blaming my friend's father, saying that he did not take her to a private hospital for better treatment because he was too stingy with money. After the death, everyone began to speak and said that my friend's mother had millions of rupees in her bank account, yet they still did not live a happy life or spend when needed. Although I do not know the exact amount of savings they had, it was shocking to hear about the savings account.

This story would have had a better ending if my friend’s mother was lived longer and they spend their savings to benefit my friend. Then we could describe the same story as parents sacrificing their good time for their child's future.

However, we cannot know for sure what their intentions were or why they were saving so much money. That’s the reason I told in the beginning of this story there could be two scenarios if one incident didn’t occur at a bad time. Now apparently my friend is living a good life, but is she happy! That's a question for me.

This story taught me that life is something we should cherish and live to the fullest, because we never know when it might end. Saving money is important for tough times, but we should also create memories and enjoy our time while we are alive. This experience taught me a lot about life and how to appreciate what we have at the right times.

I would like to invite my friends @akbaraleiy , @arshani and @noelisdc to join the contest.

Thank you @hive-193637 for organizing this contest.

@hasini, Friend in life Everything has to be fair, we can't waste all the money we earn because we can reach adulthood bankrupt.

The opposite is to be excessively stingy and accumulate money, sacrificing one's own well-being and that of the family.

That family had an unfortunate end with the death of the mother who had money in savings and she did not get it at least to save her life.

I do not like stingy people, I have seen more than one die having a large amount of money that in the end their children squander.

Thank you for sharing your story with friends in the community.
