It's been 6 years since the greatest, best-est, most profitable, life changing, financial uplifting, informative social blogsphere was brought to life, to existence.

My encounter with Steemit

I was introduced to this blockchain few months ago (I'll be a year old in June 🙈) by @paulyoung which has been one of the best decisions I've made in my lifetime. I'll be forever grateful to you Paul for literally holding my hands and sitting me right here in a pond full of fishes.

I won't lie, as at June 2021 when I first heard of steemit, the reluctance was there and I was beginning to deal seriously with my free wordpress blog so yeah then Paul was like; "babe, you have to try out steemit cuz you get rewarded immediately you make a quality post", I got an account set up here asap. And since then till now, the only regret I have was not joining much earlier and not staying as active as I needed.

What Steemit means to me and how it has helped me.

Well steemit has been a Godsent to me. I've always been an independent lady and I've always craved for steady income for myself, to support my parents, my siblings when needed and to contribute when my lovely boyfriend needed a hand. But with Covid-19 crashing down most of the world's economy, it was had to get a job with a good pay and manageable worktime frame especially for an undergraduate.

I took to blogging to see if my intellects (as most of my friends would call it) and "a little above average" writing skill would give me what I needed; a convenient means of decent earning online. I was getting good reviews about my movie review blog but I need a lot more to get to that point of necessary peak which would also cost me too. Then @paulyoung came and you know the rest of the story 😀.

Steemit has helped me significantly, broadened my horizons about blogging for a living. Although consistency, learning and dedicated patience are all necessary, one still gets rewarded even a little. And you all know that saying, "a little reward, a little more boost to leveling up" 😉.

What I'm most grateful for

I'm most grateful for the whole ideology behind this growing blockchain. The thought of making provisions for profitable earnings via crypto is a whole game changer.

The support from communities, booming votes, whale steemians, the orderliness on here, the creativity, the informative nature of steemit makes it all stand out👏.

I'm grateful also to the brains behind this contest. I don't really view it as a contest anymore because I'm able to express my gladness on steemit's ravishing goodness. Thank you very much @edlili24.
