The Diary Game: Día 1 | 24/04/2021 | "Día de música, fútbol y Disney" | [ESP-ENG]

Hoy sábado 24 de abril de 2021, más de un año después del comienzo de esta terrible situación del COVID-19, me sumo a la maravillosa iniciativa de "The Diary Game" y les contaré sobre mi día de hoy.
Today saturday april 24th of 2021, one year and more after the beginning of this terrible situation of COVID-19, I join this amazing iniciative or "The Diary Game" and will tell you more about my day.
Desperté a las 8 a.m. para darle clases de oboe a mi alumno colombiano a través de Zoom.
I woke up at 8 a.m to teach oboe to my colombian student through Zoom.
Disfruto de dar clases online, enseñar es algo que me mantiene ocupado en el encierro y aunque la conexión de internet en nuestro país no es la mejor (Venezuela), hoy se mantuvo bastante estable y pude dar la clase con éxito.
I enjoy teaching online, teaching is something that keeps me busy during lockdown and even though internet connection in our country is not the best (Venezuela), today it was stable and I could teach successfully.

Luego de dar clases me dieron ganas de tocar, e inmediatamente me puse a estudiar con mi oboe una maravillosa música, la fantasía n°10 del compositor alemán Georg Philipp Telemann, y aproveché para grabar un poco de ella.
After teaching I wanted to practice, and I inmediately started practicing oboe with a wonderful music, fantasy n°10 by the german composer Georg Philipp Telemann, and I took advantage of this to record a little of this.

Hoy día que me encuentro sin poder tocar con mi orquesta, con mi quinteto, sin poder hacer recitales o conciertos solistas por las razones que todos conocemos del virus, por lo que estudiar esta y muchas de las obras más complejas e importantes de mi instrumento me han mantenido distraído y ocupado. Además, sé que al terminar todo seré un mucho mejor músico y oboísta, pero antes que todo, mantendré a mi y a mi familia sana si Dios quiere, y eso es lo más importante.
Nowadays I go sleep not being able of playing with my orchestra, with my quinter, without being able of making recitals or solo concerts for the reasons all of us know about the virus, so practicing this and other harder and important works for my instrument has keep me distracted and busy. Furthermore, I know I will be a better oboist and musician when everything ends up, but first of all, I will keep myself and my family healthy, and that is more important.

Luego de esto, me bañé y me senté a amarrar algunas cañas para mi instrumento.
After this, I took a shower and I sat down to making some reeds to my instrument.
Las cañas son una clase de "boquilla" de madera, amarrada (en mi caso) a un tubo que puede ser de latón cubierto de corcho y esta es la que produce las vibraciones que crean el sonido de mi instrumento. En un futuro post espero mostrarles el proceso detallado para la elaboración de las mismas.
Reeds are a kind of "embochature" of wood, tied (in my case) to a tube that can be of brass cover or cork and this is the one which produces the vibrations that creates the sound of my instrument. In a next post I hope to show you more about the detailed process to make these.
Mis Cañas "Venezuela - My Reeds "Venezuela"
Suele ser un proceso largo y en el que hay que tener mucha paciencia ya que cualquier error en alguna milimétrica medida podría hacer que esta no funcione en lo absoluto y pierdas el día, pero afortunadamente, hasta ahora no fue así.
It uses to be a long process in which you have to be patience since any mistake in just a milimeter measure could make this does not work at all and you can loose your day, but fortunately today was not like this.
Mañana las pasaré por la máquina y les cuento que tal quedaron.
Tomorrow I will put them in the machine and I will tell you how was it.
Mis cañas de hoy - My reeds of today

A eso de las 2:30-30 hice una pausa antes de terminar de amarrar mis cañas y me fui al cuarto a ver el partido de fútbol.
Around 2:00-30 I made s break before finishing of tie my reeds and I went to my bedroom to watch the soccer game.
Aunque soy seguidor del F.C Barcelona, también soy muy fanático del fútbol en general y deseando que el Real Madrid perdiera algún punto en LaLiga hoy, vi su partido contra el Betis con mi padre quien si es fanático de los "merengues"
Despite being a fan of F.C Barcelona, I am also a fan of soccer in general and wanted the Real Madrid to loose some point in LaLiga today, so I watched the game against the Betis with my father who is a fan of "merengues".
Al final quedaron lejos del título, ya que estos si perdieron puntos y empataron 0-0 con el Real Betis. Pude fastidiar a mi padre al respecto, así que el día iba muy bien hasta ahora jajaja.
At the end they were away of the title since these lost points and had a match 0-0 with Real Betis. I could bothered my father about it, so the day was good at the moment.

Terminé de amarrar mis cañas y me fui a ver la película nueva de Disney "Raya y el último dragón" con mi novia
I finished tidding my reeds and I went to watch the new Disney movie "Raya and the last dragon" with my girlfriend.

Mientras, comimos dos de las cosas que más me gustan y pocas veces como: mantequilla de maní y pringles
While we ate two of the things that I like the most and I can not eat often like: peanut butter and pringles.

Al final nos quedamos dormidos y no terminamos de verla, por lo que aún no puedo darles mi opinión de la misma pero mañana si Dios quiere lo haré.
Finally we fall sleep and we did not finish the movie, so I can not give you my opinion about it, but tomorrow I will.
Y bueno, hace un momento cené y me encuentro contándoles mi día antes de ir a dormir.
And well, I just took my dinner and I find myself telling you about my day before go to bed.
