COVID 19 UPDATES FROM RIVERS STATE IN NIGERIA

Following the executive order by the governor of Rivers state , his excellency Gov. Nyesom Wike , the lock down of the state's most active local government areas ( Obio- Akpor and Port Harcourt LGAs) resumed this morning.

This move was necessitated by the rise of covid 19 cases in the state and the poor adherence to coovid19 preventive measures in these areas of the state.

Businesses , churches, and offices have all been closed. Though this is a strategic move against the spread of the virus , a lot of residents are affected by this .

We hope this doesn't tarry for long though and that the effects of the pandemic are brought to the barest minimum.
