Tugu menjulang tinggi di pusat kota
Kota Juang, mengapa dinamakan Kota Juang? Karena terkait dengan mada penjajahan Belanda menjadi basis perjuangan dan pernah menjadi ibu kota ketiga sementara Republik Indonesia, setelah jatuhnya Yogyakarta. [Wikipedia]
Suasana sepi selama bulan Ramadhan ini (masih siang) dan biasa sore baru rame, tugu ini tepatnya dekat pendopo Bupati Kabupaten Bireuen.
Di kutip dari @discoverbireuen, Sebuah tugu yang kokoh berdiri menjulang di alun-alun Kota Bireuen, Tugu Kota Juang namanya. Tugu ini merupakan bukti perjuangan rakyat Aceh pada masa penjajahan Belanda. Tugu juang terletak di jantung kota Bireuen, tepatnya didepan Meuligoe bersisian dengan Tugu Batee Kureng merupakan titik sentral perjuangan masyarakat Bireuen dalam mengusir penjajah dari tanah Aceh [@discoverbireuen].
Dikutip dari laman realitasonline.id "Tugu Bate Kureng" Peran dan kejuangan warga daerah Bireuen di masa merebut dan ketika mempertahan Indonesia memang telah diakui oleh presiden Soekarno. Bung Karno ketika berkunjung ke Bireuen pada tahun 1948 berulang kali menyebutkan Bireuen sebagai “Daerah Perjuangan” yang harus dicatat dalam lembar sejarah.
Atas pengakuan presiden Soekarno itu pula maka di Kota Bireuen dibangun sebuah monumen. “Monumen Batee Kureng” itu dibangun tahun 1987 di Halaman Pendopo Bireuen. Peresmiannya dilakukan oleh Menteri Koperasi/ Kepala Bagian Urusan Logistik, Bustanil Arifin pada 8 April 1987.

Pada monumen untuk mengenang kejuangan masyarakat Bireuen itu ditulis moto Bireuen, “Gilang Datang Padamu Bila Tekat Kukuh Berpadu”. [realitasonline.id]

The monument towers over the city center
Juang City, why is it called Juang City? Because it was related to the Dutch colonial era, it became the basis of struggle and was the third temporary capital of the Republic of Indonesia, after the fall of Yogyakarta. [Wikipedia]
The atmosphere is quiet during the month of Ramadhan (still noon) and usually in the afternoon, this monument is precisely near the Bireuen Regent's pavilion.
Quoted from @discoverbireuen, a solid monument stands towering over the town square of Bireuen, the name of the Juang City Monument. This monument is evidence of the struggle of the Acehnese people during the Dutch colonial period. The Tugu Juang is located in the heart of Bireuen, to be precise in front of Meuligoe side by side with the Batee Kureng Monument which is the central point of the struggle of the Bireuen people in expelling invaders from the land of Aceh [@discoverbireuen].

Because of President Soekarno's recognition, a monument was built in Bireuen City. The “Batee Kureng Monument” was built in 1987 on the Bireuen Pendopo Courtyard. The inauguration was carried out by the Minister of Cooperatives / Head of Logistics Affairs, Bustanil Arifin on April 8, 1987.
