Lo que les traigo hoy día, es algo muy curioso que descubrí recientemente en el terreno que queda en el frente de mi casa. Mi vecino hace poco tiempo, planto unos capacho rojos y amarillos, esas plantas son muy comunes en esta zona, sin embargo, a mí nunca me han llamado la atención, por lo que nunca las había detallado.

What I bring you today is something very curious that I recently discovered on the land that is in front of my house. My neighbor recently planted some red and yellow hoods, those plants are very common in this area, however, they have never caught my attention, so I had never detailed them.

La semana pasada en la mañana aprovechando que no había nadie por la zona, salí junto a mis hijas para que jugaran en la grama, sin necesidad de usar el tapabocas. Mientras ellas disfrutaban su libertad, me acerque a las plantas de Capacho. Me llamaron la atención porque no tenían flores, pero en el lugar de las inflorescencias tenían las curiosas bolitas que muestro en las imágenes. Al verlas me recordaron las peloticas de goma que decían que servían para combatir estrés, también me recordaron las Anemonas.

Last week in the morning, taking advantage of the fact that there was no one around, I went out with my daughters to play on the grass, without using the mask. While they were enjoying their freedom, I approached the Capacho plants. They caught my attention because they didn't have any flowers, but in the place of the inflorescences they had the curious little balls that I show in the images. When I saw them, they reminded me of the rubber balls that they said were used to fight stress, they also reminded me of the Anemones.

Investigando en internet, descubrí que después que las flores mueren y se caen los pétalos, queda esos bulbos. Dentro esa especie de maracas, se encuentran depositadas las semillas, una vez madura y se seca el lóbulo se cae y de esa manera nacen las nuevas plantas. Una de las recomendaciones que dan para su cultivo es estar pendiente de recoger las maracas cuando caen al suelo, para que las nuevas plantas no nazcan tan cerca de las plantas madres.

Researching on the internet, I discovered that after the flowers die and the petals fall off, those bulbs remain. Inside that species of maracas, the seeds are deposited, once they are mature and dry the lobe falls off and in this way the new plants are born. One of the recommendations given for its cultivation is to be aware of collecting the maracas when they fall to the ground, so that the new plants are not born so close to the mother plants.
