Detecting content abuse on platforms like Steemit is essential for several reasons. First, content abuse can damage the reputation of the platform. Second, it violates community policies; and lastly, it can lead to conflicts between users, if they receive a reward.
For this reason, detecting and taking action against content abuse on Steemit is important, as it maintains a safe and respectful environment. This involves identifying posts that contain duplicate content, spam, or information scraped from the internet without proper citation.
As part of the Steem Watcher team, I am tasked with reviewing content on the platform and reporting detected cases of abuse, with the intention of preventing further violations of content protocol and maintaining a good reputation for Steemit.
Below I share the cases that were detected and validated as abuse, most of the accounts are related to a farming community.
