RE: Pull up a chair, and feel free to post your ideas here.

I find the description of the universe as monolithic dismissive of the ineffable complexity and illimitable extent of reality. If all you can see are the four walls of the cave you are confined in, then your concept of the universe, materialistic reality, as monolithic is trivially explained.

Grasping that our ignorance is our limit of conception of reality enables one to realize the wondrous and immense variety of experiential reality, gods or no.

Sort:

monolithic description is used to describe the connection we all have to one another that cannot be removed/destroyed. This link is that which I call God, you could call whatever you want, it is a power that makes life possible, it is the only real thing that is.

the materalistic reality, is a projection from the real reality. that projection is intentionally incomplete and introduces darkness via the mind.. doubt will always exist.

grasping our ignorance is seeing that as the mind you can't ever see beyond it, but you can experience God via Faith... and thru those experience come to trust, and thru mediation come to feel... the oneness that is the reality behind materiality.

By grasping my ignorance I am able to see far beyond what my eyes reveal, conceiving of illimitable potentials the material world may conceal. Should I undertake faith in this or that conception, I should reduce my sight far beyond what my eyes do.

If I have faith in anything, it is my own relative insignificance and incapacity. In this I have not been mistaken. When we know we don't know, we are able to learn what is revealed. When we falsely know we know, we cement our ignorance around our intellectual feet, even as we plunge into the ocean of wonder that surrounds us.

Merry Christmas!

is my own relative insignificance and incapacity

this very idea produces that experience.

When we know we don't know

seems unrelated to the previous idea.

what i do know is that I can and do have an influence.

what kind is related to what I am being. in that I have control, and power..

and I see no room for the idea of being insignificant, as that would reduce my ability feel the life that flows thru me and notice my connection to all things... because in those things I find comfort.

i dunno.. your ideas seem so close yet so far away.

hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The thing is that we peer through a murky sack of obscene glop when we view the world, and the bit we consider what we see with is utterly inconsequential to the task. We see ripples in the pond we wriggle in and think we are making a mark, but are incapable of grasping the minute extent of the teaspoon we swim in or the scale of the ocean perhaps only a few yards away.

My perception of my own minisculity enables me to conceive of the brobdingnagian power that exists. This is not my power. The flimsiest of breezes on the surface of the sun would wash me away as if I had never been.

Delusions of hubris are no blessings.

It is good to dig one's toes in good mountain soil, to feel the immense mountain slumping slowly into the valley below, and know that happens at a scale in which the time frame of my life is imperceptible.

Humility is the foundation of the ability to conceive of consequential matters.

I hope your loved one's remain celebrated in your heart every day, that a new paradigm of familial and social bliss elevates your prospects exponentially going forward.
