rv-tasty || Native Rice with Smoked Fish
Hello everyone. My warm greetings to you all. Today I'm here for this tasty contest brought by @tahispadron.
Today, my dish is called Native Rice. This native rice is called so in the sense that it it doesn't contain much items and it's usually less expensive. What also makes it local is that fact that palm oil is being used rather than tomatoes.
Ingredients needed for Native rice
Rice
Onions/pepper
Maggi/salt
Palm oil/crayfish
Smoked fish (any other protein can be used)
Method of preparation of Native rice
- First thing is to wash the rice and put it on fire to boil before parboiling.
Next thing is to pound the crayfish and pepper and keep aside.
Also, wash and cut your onions and set aside too.
Since my fish is smoked ice fish, there's no need of washing it. I'll just debone it and set all aside.
Cooking the Native rice
- In my empty pot, I'll add small palm oil and when it's a little hot, I'll add my onions to fry.
- Then I'll add my smoked fish and stir for the taste and aroma to come out into the oil. Then I'll add the crayfish, Maggi, salt and continue stirring for some minutes.
- Then I'll add the washed rice and stir properly, then add water and allow it to dry
- The final product after serving.
This dish is very delicious and it can be served with any drink of your choice.
I would like to invite @josepha, @zory23 and @pandora2010 to join this contest.
