The purpose and the uniqueness of our community

Memories ... There are different opinions about whether we need them. Some people believe that it is not necessary to immerse oneself in memories, but to live only in the present, to look only to the future. Others are stuck in the past, living with memories and only memories. I always choose the middle ground. We have different periods in life. And then we need memories, as well as active actions. Sometimes memories heal our tired souls when we don't want to do anything. But, in my opinion, the main task of memories is to inspire us to new achievements, to awaken a pleasant nostalgia for travel, to give energy for work, to draw useful conclusions that sometimes come after many years ... You can add to this list in your head :)
The idea to create #saturdaymemories came to me about a year ago, when my phone refused to work, shouted, blunted and asked for help to clear his memory))) But you know how it happens, we delete a few photos and then calm down, and the problem after a few days occurs again :) Then it only worked as a tag. But I noticed that some people liked the idea, and they started to support it. Usually these are people like me who have traveled a lot, led an active lifestyle and have a habit of taking pictures))) And then I decided to create a community SaturdayMemories to make it a useful habit: every Friday you can clean your Google photos archive to remember interesting events that you may not have had time to tell, or because of lack of time wrote very little! There are many photos left that you did not show here and now there is an opportunity. The main thing: to make your memories useful to other people.
So, purpose: to share with each other your quality and useful memories, thoughts, conclusions and experiences we have gained in the past.
Basically it is: travel to beautiful exclusive places, traditions, culture, family values ​​of people in different parts of our planet, which definitely enriches each of us :)

Are there communities with similar topics?

I think we intersect a bit with travel communities, but our experience is broader and deeper because people here can write about different aspects of their lives!

Why do people join?

People join because they like to remember the pleasant moments of their lives. And unfortunately, at the frantic pace of our modern lives, we often forget about many things that have passed and many photos are still forgotten in the Google archive. So people find this community very useful.

Update

Every week I do an post, where to improve the rules, or give some interesting topic where people try to show the best quality photos and stories according to the rules.

Support

I personally submit three posts a day in support. That's why 21 posts by different authors in the week of the most interesting stories, in my opinion, receive support from @booming accounts.

Maybe 30 - 50 percent of the posts I comment on and there are people who have already become fans of the community and look forward every week to the next opportunity to write about something beautiful from their lives.

Advertising of my community takes place through the recommendations of fans to each other, so it is actively developing!
