Tell us about your next holiday plan so it helps travelers to decide where to go for their next destination as idea. Even if you have no immediate plan, you can still share your favorite destination.

My next holiday plan is Cross River State, Nigeria. Cross River State is a beautiful state with a lot of good sites and places, that cannot be exhausted in one visit. You'd have to select a few locations each time you visit. Although I've been to Cross River State before, I've certainly not enjoyed the beauties the state has as it was a quick in and out visitation, thus a more elaborate plan for the next trip. Cross River State is among the south-south Nigerian states and can be found in the southern part of Nigeria. Home to the Efik, the Ejagham, Yakurr, Bahumono, Bette, Yala, Igede, Ukelle and the Bekwarra amongst others. They are the home of truly refreshing soups; Afang, Edikaikong, to name a few. I've always wanted to try these soups by a native residing there and so this would be a good opportunity to get this settled. The capital of Cross River State is Calabar. Calabar has the coordinate: 5.8702° N,
8.5988° E. Cross River State has the slogan The People's Paradise, that is to say, you're in for a good trip.

Please mention the duration one should stay there to fully explore the destination and describe your mode of transportation, plus the places to stay at your favorite destination.

To properly cover and explore the destination one has to schedule the trips into different parts. However, about three months one should have been able to go through most of not all of the places and sights Cross River State has.

To get to Cross River State, for those in Nigeria, it's easy to board a vehicle coming to the South. From any southern state or eastern state, you can get a direct vehicle. Virtually every state has direct transportation. For those outside Nigeria, you can either fly to Abuja or Lagos, and then fly to Cross River.
P.s: You can decide to go by road so you catch other beautiful sights on the way.

Every single part you'll wish to visit has a hotel in it or one very close by, so it's nothing to worry about, there's always accomodation as the Cross River State people are very hospitable.

Mention the key spots you intend to visit at this destination or suggest them to our readers. It would be a nice idea if you could guide the travelers on how much would it cost to live there in different capacities

For this journey, I intend to Visit

Tinapa Resort
Afi mountain wildlife sanctuary
Agbokim waterfalls
Obudu mountain resort (formerly called Obudu cattle ranch).

There are other places to see, but I've scheduled just these into my next journey.

Who's coming with me?

I'll like to invite @paholags @robin42 @aspiya @soythai @soyariadnna @sahmie @woko-happiness @ruthjoe to take the contest.

Thank you for finding time to read through my travel plan.

I hope to come across someone else on a journey there while I'm there.

Thank you

Hello my neighbour and brother. I'm happy you found time to go through my post and have picked interest in going to Cross River State. You might have a far more better experience than the little I've outlined. I know they're not so far away from you. I'll love to see pictures and hear how it went if and when you are able to go.

Most definitely the soups are worth it, it's a beautiful meal made with vegetables and beautiful condiments. Thank you for the invite to Venezuela, seems if I can plan the trip, I'll reach out to you to show me your beaches.

Thank you, have a beautiful day
