Where you went during the year of 2023? What activities were carried out?

Traveling has always been part and parcel of my life which makes me someone always on the move. During this year 2023 I have made so many traveling moves to Ebolowa, Yaounde, Douala, Buea etc. Within these destinations I have had 2 amazing trips which created and impact in my life.

My classmates and I

During the month of April I made a trip to Douala for a physical class reunion meeting with my classmates from secondary school. This was the first ever reunion we have had since our graduation in 2010 from highschool. With all the anticipations we started all the preparations in February and 21st April was chosen for the deal day. I left Bamenda on Friday 20th and arrived the next month.

After resting at my aunt's house I joined my friends at 2:00pm for our meeting and fun time. It was a great reunion time for us. We had our normal meeting during which we set our goals and defined some projects to execute during the year, had enough to eat and drink and finally went clubbing in the evening and only went home on the morning

My fiancé and I at the bus station

My second trip was to Buea, in the South West region with my fiancé to meet his parents. It was my first time of meeting them so I was anxious and had mixed feelings on how it will go. I had heard his mother was a stern lady and so I was a little shaky but confident. On 24th of August we left for Buea and arrived the next morning. We had a warm welcome from his parents and everyone was happy to see me.

In my moments of acclamatisation, I discovered his junior sister was trying to make something in the kitchen and his mother had just left for the road. I went in and asked his junior sister allow me do it all. Before they could think I had prepared the meal, water fufu and Eru so deliciously. His mother was surprised and appreciated and told me you're fully welcome to the family. Actually it was a test they had set for me and not knowing their plans I did it so well and that's how I gained their love.

Any anecdote that makes this trip so unique to be considered the best one of '23? Did you experienced this alone or with somebody else?

For the moment with my classmates it brought back our school days and all the moments we shared for 7 years in the secondary school. It also brought new connection amongst us as from there so many other opportunities and jobs have circulated within us. It also taught us the lessons of love, peace and unity. With that we are building a strong association which aims at helping each other and our communities they best way we can

My trip to Buea with my fiancé was an amazing though filled with a lot of uncertainties and anxiousness. The great moment was having my fiancé's family accept me in their home. It is always very difficult to have your future in laws accept you without any challenge. But mine is different and I am now like the daughter they never had and I am so special to them. I am glad my fiancé made this trip with me to have this privilege in my life.

Have you planned a budget for it? How much you spent during the trip?

Going to Douala I had a planned budget of 50000 FRS (337.27steem) to spend. This included my class contribution of 5000 FRS(33.73 steem), transportation of 15000 FRS (101.18 steem), food items for my aunt 10000 FRS (67.45 steem) and 20000 FRS (134.91 steem) for any other expenditures.

Traveling to Buea I didn't plan any budget but looking at what my fiancé and I spent for the three days it was 70000 FRS (471.18 steem) for transportation, food, drinks and other things.

Are you thinking about to make an amazing travel in 2024? Which would be the selected place?

About my trip in 2024, I have two options in mind. Firstly I and my colleagues are planning a vacation period to a selected country in Europe for ourselves. We are choosing Europe since it will be convenient for all of us colleagues of 5 different nationalities (Cameroon, Brasil, Pakistan, India and Nigeria)to go. A country where visa process is not difficult to get. It's going to ge an amazing and fun time for us all. At the moment we are making preparation for that

Secondly I will like to have my second trip with my husband after our wedding to Live or Ebolowa or Kribi. These towns have touristic beauty which we will explore, relax and have fun. In fact that will be our honeymoon.

Thank you all for going through my post dear friends. I am inviting @vickyson, @breeze.com and @virajherath to join the contest

Feliz tarde 🤗
