THE ART OF LOVING
Who says that acts of love are not beautiful,
what do they know or dream of beauty? Who
feels tarnished or tarnishes by performing them,
what joy do they find in themselves or with another?

Only what is undesired
or poorly answers our desire is not beautiful.
And only what lacks the ardor
that neither denies nor hides itself is tarnished.

What gestures are more beautiful than those of sex?
What beautiful body is less beautiful in motion?
And what movement of a body in another's embrace
is not the purest intent of bodies?

Let eyes close, not to avoid seeing,
but to let the body see what they cannot,
and in silence, let there be only the creaking
of flesh, which is the sole reason for flesh.
