Hello steemians,

Every trip is a collection of moments, impressions, and emotions that are etched in our memories, leaving behind an indelible mark. It is with a certain nostalgia that I recall my trip to Montreal with my son Yahya, an adventure that, although over, continues to resonate in me like a sweet melody of shared memories.

I can still clearly see our departure, that mixture of excitement and apprehension that always inhabits the soul of a traveler about to fly off into the unknown. It was the first time that Yahya and I shared a trip so far from home. The preparations, the suitcases full of clothes and hopes, everything seemed so natural at that moment. But now that the weeks have passed, these small details take on a deeper dimension. It was not only a physical journey, but also a journey in our relationship as father and son, a mutual discovery through unknown landscapes.

Montreal, with its lively streets and unique architecture, was more than just a destination. It was the setting for precious moments. The city now appears to me like a scrapbook, each street corner and each building evoking an anecdote, a look or a burst of laughter shared with Yahya. The simple fact of walking its streets, of feeling the energy of the city, takes me back to those moments suspended in time, when we had only ourselves, lost in a bubble of discovery.

There was something electric in the air of Montreal, an energy that transported us from one place to another with lightness. Yet, in the midst of this effervescence, there were also moments of silence, pauses, where we could stop, look around us, and savor the present moment. Those moments when time seemed to stop, when you could almost hear your own heartbeat, are the most precious to me.

Yahya, with his eyes shining with curiosity, rediscovered the world through this trip. And I, through his eyes, rediscovered the simple joy of wonder, that feeling that we sometimes lose as we grow up. Seeing him blossom, explore, ask questions, reminded me of the beauty of discovery, and above all, the beauty of sharing it with someone you love.

Now, when I think back on this trip, it is not so much the places we visited that come to mind, but rather the emotions. The complicity we strengthened, the moments of shared laughter, the discussions about life, dreams and the future. This trip was much more than a tourist adventure, it was an opportunity to grow together, to weave memories that I am sure will remain forever engraved in our hearts.

It is strange to see how time seems to stretch when you are traveling, and yet, now that I am back, everything seems to have happened in the blink of an eye. The images scroll through my head like a movie that you never want to see the end of. But that is precisely what makes nostalgia so bittersweet. This feeling of loss mixed with a deep gratitude for the moments lived.

Today, as we have returned to our daily routine, I realize how much this trip has left a mark on me. There are experiences that change us, not spectacularly, but subtly, gently. This trip to Montreal is one of them. And even though we left behind the landscapes of Canada, I know that something precious has remained with us: these shared moments, these bursts of life, that nothing can ever erase.

So, when I close my eyes and think back on this trip, it is not with sadness that I relive these memories, but with immense gratitude. Because each moment lived, however fleeting, has enriched our lives in a way that transcends time.

Saludos.
