Being born in Indonesia, precisely in the province at the very tip of the island of Sumatra, namely Aceh, is the will of God, the Almighty Creator. It cannot be denied that as a person who has other desires, it is normal to compare your current place of birth with other countries. There are many factors that influence our train of thought, one of which is employment, which is included in finance.
With the engagement challenge in this extraordinary community, if I wasn't born in Indonesia, if I could choose, I would choose Singapore. Why, there are many factors that I know about this country, one of which is that it is one of the safest countries in the world today. Another factor is the existence of employment opportunities that can improve the welfare of its citizens. So, to make it clearer why I chose Singapore, I will answer according to the clue that has been presented in this challenge as follows.
With an area of more than 700 square meters and a population of 5 million, Singapore is certainly one of the smallest countries in the world, but as far as we know, Singapore is also one of the countries with the best education in Asia today. With its multiculturalism, Singaporean society is also the most tolerant in the field of religion. Of course, for several reasons, I am interested in this country in the Malacca Strait.
I chose Singapore as a place that is considered comfortable for life at the moment, the low budget rate is also an attraction for me. I am clear that Singapore would be my choice if I were not born in Indonesia at this time.
Basically I chose Singapore if I wasn't born in Indonesia because of the tolerance applied by the multi-ethnic citizens of Singapore. I, who am Muslim, will of course have the same rights as other citizens in Singapore. The existence of the Malay community who adhere to Islam there was one of the reasons for choosing him.
One of the safest countries in the world today is Singapore, where not much crime occurs there, so in the financial sector if we quote the country's income it is also very feasible to live a life there. This country is a transit point for all types of ships that pass through the Malacca Strait, which is also the reason I chose to be born there, with this ship transit, it can be proven that traveling anywhere will make it very easy for us.
This type of Singapore passport is also very strong in the world today. I am very interested in this country's passport if traveling will allow us to visit other parts of the world.
If we refer to income that is stable and above the country I was born in, namely Indonesia, then Singapore is above it, so if the income is above the current average, as a human being who has a hobby of shopping, of course I am very interested in the shopping center there, namely Orchad Road.
The diverse cultural background of the various ethnicities that inhabit this former British colony is also an attraction for me, where if I was born there, of course I would be able to learn about all the cultures that exist there, namely the culture of ethnic Chinese and ethnic Indians.
The very striking difference between Singapore and Indonesia is the very small area compared to Indonesia, as well as the small population. In terms of education, Singapore can certainly be more advanced than the country where I was born, and also from an economic perspective, Singapore is above Indonesia, so in the country with the Merlion statue, we can be sure that income inequality is relatively low compared to Indonesia.
There are many other differences between these two countries, both in the field of government and infrastructure. Likewise regarding the differences in languages used, Singapore has English as its official language apart from Malay while Indonesia uses Indonesian as its official language. This is the influence of former European colonial countries, namely Singapore was colonized by the British while Indonesia was colonized by the Dutch.
