Last Sunday was Sinulog a feast of Senior Sto. Niño. I looked for a place to stand by. All the places were crowded and the weather was hot. And the place that interests me was Fort San Pedro.

It was a military defense structure in Cebu, Philippines, built by the Spanish under the command of Miguel López de Legazpi, first governor of the Captaincy General of the Philippines. It is located in the area now called Plaza Independencia, in the pier area of the city.[1] The original fort was made of wood and built after the arrival of Legazpi and his expedition. In the early 17th century a stone fort was built to repel Muslim raiders. Today's structure dates from 1738 and is the oldest triangular bastion fort in the country. It served as the nucleus of the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines. During the Philippine Revolution at the end of the 19th century, it was attacked and taken by Filipino revolutionaries, who used it as a stronghold.

I was there for about 10:30 a.m.There were also a lot of people falling in line. The entrance fee is 30 pesos about 2 STEEM. When I entered the place it was relaxing. It is surrounded with trees that shaded the area. The fort is 20 feet high and 8 feet thick. There were also staff that counterfeit like Lapu-lapu. They look the same and the costume baro't saya was interesting.

After I climbed up to the top . There you can enjoy the fresh air, view the sky, and watch the views on the ground. Also the cannon is located.

I also had time at the museum where old paintings, preserved artifacts, sculptures, and documents were displayed.

It was a great experience visiting the place. Reminiscing history where all of us are part of.
