Journey to the nearest traditional market with wife

This morning my wife and I started the day with a plan to go shopping together to the nearest market, Teupin Punti shop. The fresh morning air accompanied our journey to the market by motorbike. The atmosphere throughout the journey felt so pleasant, with green views of the trees on the right and left sides of the road.

Upon arrival, the atmosphere was very active and crowded. Sellers and buyers bargained with each other, creating a unique rhythm that can only be found in traditional markets. The fresh aroma of vegetables, fruits and various kitchen ingredients mixed together. I went straight to the fish and shrimp seller's stall, which seemed to be crowded with many buyers. There I bought one kilogram of fresh shrimp for 60,000 IDR. The shrimp were really fresh and still looked healthy with bright colors.

Meanwhile, my wife was busy choosing healthy vegetables in the inner part of the market. She carefully chose cassava leaves, carrots and several other types of vegetables. In addition, she also bought spices such as shallots, garlic and chilies to complete the stock at home. I helped her carry the shopping bags which were starting to feel heavy, but it still felt fun because we did it together.

shopping at a traditional market is always a very different experience. there is a satisfaction in seeing firsthand the healthiness of the ingredients you buy, plus the friendly interaction with the traders who always greet you with a smile. the market also reminds me of the importance of supporting the local economy and small businesses, especially in our area.

After finishing shopping, we decided to take a short break at a small stall in the corner of the market. I enjoyed a cup of warm black coffee, while my wife chose sweet tea. And the light conversation about the wife choosing the dishes for the next few days just flowed, creating a warm, relaxed moment in the midst of the current market hustle and bustle.

After I was satisfied with shopping, I immediately went home with a happy heart. At home my wife immediately cleaned the shrimp to be cooked tonight, while I helped organize the shopping ingredients in the kitchen. Today, although simple, felt meaningful because of the togetherness and warmth that we felt throughout the trip and shopping at the market.
