I am from the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, and our country India is known as the country of festivals. Many festivals are celebrated in our country.

People of every caste and religion live in our country. There are four major religions in our country, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian.

And every caste and religion has its own festivals.

The main festival of Muslim religion is considered to be Eid.

The main festival of Sikhism is Lohri.

For Christians, December 25 i.e. Christmas Day is the main festival of the birth of Jesus Christ.

And many festivals of Hinduism are major. Like Rakshabandhan, Holi, Diwali, Karva Chauth, Ahoi, Janmashtami, Ganpati Puja, Durga Puja, Basant Panchami and some national festivals like Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti etc.

I am a Hindu, so I like Hindu festivals very much. I like all the festivals of my religion very much. Every festival has a different atmosphere and a different vibrancy. And I enjoy every festival celebrated in my country very much.

Among the festivals celebrated in our religion, I like Diwali the most.

I want to tell you about some of the festivals celebrated in our religion in a few lines.

Rakshabandhan :

Rakshabandhan is a symbol of love between brother and sister. In this, sisters apply tilak and tie rakhi to their brothers and wish them a long life.

Janamashtami :

In Hinduism, the day of birth of Lord Krishna is celebrated as Janmashtami. All the temples are decorated. All the small children take the form of Radha Krishna and perform Bal Leela.

Karva Chauth :

On Karva Chauth every woman dresses up and keeps a fast for the long life and good progress of her husband and wishes him and the husband brings clothes and jewelry as a gift for his wife.

Holi :

Holi is considered to be the main festival of Hindus. On this day everyone applies color and gulal on each other, plays drums, dances a lot and hugs each other. Children fill balloons and pichkaris with water and throw them at each other.

Deepawali:

Diwali is one of my favorite festivals. It is celebrated with great pomp in our country. All the markets and shops across the country are beautifully decorated. Everyone buys new clothes to wear on this day. And gives gifts and sweets to each other. Everyone cleans their houses and decorates them beautifully. Rangoli is made at the main entrance and temple of the house. The house is decorated with various types of lights, diyas and candles. I enjoy doing all this.

Delicious dishes are prepared for eating at home. In the evening, Lord Lakshmi, Ganesh ji are worshipped. After worshipping, everyone does fireworks outside their house. There is a glow with various types of lights and bulbs. The whole sky is lit up with bombs, crackers and fireworks. Everyone enjoys this festival a lot.

I and my family also wait for this festival and when it comes we celebrate it very well.

Thank you all for reading my post.

I hope and believe that you all must have liked my post. I am sharing some pictures of our festivals with all of you. All the pictures are my own and taken by my family.

I invite my 3 friends. @ripon0630 ,@drhira and @hotspotitaly

Diwali symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
The sparkle everywhere on this festival makes one feel very good.
This is a festival where gifts and sweets are distributed to each other, which is a symbol of love and goodwill.
Everyone is celebrating the festival and expressing their happiness by lighting fireworks.😊
