#TRAVEL My Weekly Powerup | #club5050 | An unusual park in Hong Kong | #steemexclusive / 12 photos
One of the days we went to the Bank of China to admire this building. The area houses many modern high-rise buildings that I think is worth getting a closer look at. That excursion was combined with Hong Kong Park which is located roughly directly behind the Bank of China. A most unusual park. Nothing seems natural here. Poinsettias and other Christmas decorations can be seen at the entrance. I was here at the end of November, so probably for that reason the park was decorated with plants that we associate with christmas.
It also turned out to be artificially made. The idea was to design a park that looks as unnatural as possible. The plants and trees are the most natural. But even the waterfalls are artificial. The park is equipped with a number of installations of an artistic nature. Colorful umbrellas. Some seem to function as flower beds.
When you then look up and look around, the view is many of the more well-known and unknown high-rise buildings. All the greenery, the lake and the waterfalls does give a feeling of being in a peaceful oasis. There are many places where you can sit down and relax or read a book. I saw several people doing that.
There are many parks in Hong Kong, but this was the only one I payed a visit. Definitely an unusual park unlike any other park I've visited around the world.

P.D.: for sure I'd sit down with a good book and chill my eyes too by seeing those wonderful decorations with flowers over the boat, umbrella, etc. Very nice details in the park. ✨
Thank you. Happy to share :) I think Hong Kong was a facinating city. The high rises are really impressive. Love that modern architecture. The park was something of a surprise!
Impossible to describe it very well with just few words 😊
Agree! It's quite unique in its own way. We were in the area because of wanting to visit the high rises, like the Bank of China building. It was only by accident we went to the park as well. I also wish we had more time to go all over the park. Even it's artificial, there is something about that park....

Exploring Hong Kong sounds like a fascinating experience with its blend of history, traditional markets, and modern skyscrapers. The contrast between old and new, as well as the unique architecture like the Bank of China tower, contributes to the city's dynamic atmosphere
Indeed. It's a facinating city because of the contrasts. I especially liked the modern architecture :)
