NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST | CAPTURING THE NIGHT | WEEK 18

It's my pleasure to be able to join the night photography contest organized by @alegnita. Today I want to tell you about my experience during a lightning storm. In the silent embrace of night, the heavens awoke with a dazzling spectacle. The world below was plunged into darkness, but above shone mysterious hues that painted a canvas of indigo and lavender. These were no ordinary stars, but dancing lightnings, their blue and purple sparks flashing like diamonds scattered on a velvet cloak. The field below lay tranquil beneath this heavenly spectacle. The greenery reflected the soft glow above, creating a mesmerizing contrast between earthly and heavenly. Here and there a solitary column of smoke broke the peace, a reminder of human presence amidst such majestic beauty. The lightning continued its dance, each one unique, but all together forming a harmonious masterpiece. They twisted and criss-crossed, intertwining in intricate shapes that seemed to tell a story of ancient times and forgotten legends. Looking at them, I felt a sense of awe and wonder at the power and beauty of nature.

As the minutes turned into hours, the scene unfolded. The lightning faded, leaving behind trails of stardust that twinkled across the night sky. The field below took on the muffled silhouette of night, the last traces of light lingering in its hills. And yet, even when the spectacle was over, the memory of it remained etched in the mind. A picture of pure magic captured in a moment in time, a reminder of the wonders that exist just beyond the reach of our everyday vision. It was a night marked by blue-purple lightnings illuminating the field with their ethereal light, an event I will long remember.
