SEC-S16W2 | My Trip to a Museum or Zoo | [Limbe Wildlife Center Museum].
Steem greetings fellow travellers all the way from the motherland-Cameroon, and welcome to my blog as I share my ideas on the topic “My Trip to a Museum or Zoo”. There are several museums in Cameroon but I have not yet been opportune to visit the museums but I have traveled to Limbe wildlife center where they have an animal museum.
Below, I will lay emphasis on the guiding questions and I hope you all find pleasure in reading through this content.
Tell us about your trip to a Museum or Zoo. What's the place's name?
Literally, I had visited in Zoo in Johannesburg but it was in 2014 and I can’t remember the name of the zoo. But I have visited the Limbe Wildlife museum. This museum is located in the South West region of Cameroon.
Visiting this museum was fun and rewarding because I never knew that animals museum existed. It is a place where one can learn more about the endangered species in Cameroon.
How much did you spend for a ticket entry to the museum/zoo? Express the price in dollars and Steems.
A ticket to enter the center is not expensive and one good thing is that once you acquire a ticket to the center, you are free to go into the museum.
The price varies from adult nationals to kids nationals. A different price applies for non-nationals. For adult nationals, I paid 500frs on our local currency ( approximately 2.03 steem at current market rate). For kids nationals, the price is 200frs (0.81 steem at current market value). For non-nationals, adults price is 3000frs (12.2 steem) and non-national kids price is 500frs (2.03 steem).
In case you intended to take good pictures and videos, your camera price is 2000frs (equivalent to about 8.14 steem). However, you can still make good use of your phone’s camera though restricted to take some videos in the center>
Which animals or exhibitions you liked more? State your reasons.
The different species of monkeys skulls displayed caught my attention at the museum.
Another interesting exhibition at the museum that I liked more was the bones of a whale. This was my first time to see the bones of a whale.

The prices are affordable to everyone and one thing I love about this place is that there is no time limit. Once you pay, you can explore the center till when it’s closing time. I appreciate your feedback on my post.

What an amazing trip you enjoyed with your lovely toddler. Limbe Wildlife Center Museum have itself mini zoo which amused the and provide fruitful information about the animals. It's good to know that it have only entering ticket accordingly to the age groups and inside free of cost enjoy the histrionic trip at Museum. Well wishing to succeed friend.

This was a great experience mom. I am concerned about this conservation stuff in cameroon. I don't know if you were opportune to ask questions like what effort they are making to ensure we don't lose the few animals left of the endangered species? E.g Mt Oku rats (Lamottemys okuensis)
What the center does is that they work in collaboration with the communities. They cannot just come to Mt Oku to get the endangered species. The community knows about the animals more than they do. All the animals at the center are given by individuals and communities for preservation.

Qué bueno que Después de varios años pudiste visitar otro museo y tener fotografías recientes, conocer de cerca los cráneos de los monos y osamenta de las ballenas,
el precio de la entrada es variante según la nacionalidad,
en la fotografía dónde está cerca de la imagen de la serpiente tu bebé estaba mirándola con gran curiosidad,
él a pesar de su corta edad de seguro aprendió, este fue un viaje muy significativo para él y toda la familia.

Ohh, great equally great first time seeing whale bones as such. And other exhibits are interesting. And the prices as far as I can see are not so expensive (of course with the conversion from steem to dollars it's a bit affordable).
