SEC S4-W3 | A smile to change the world.

Greetings to all the amazing steemians in the house. I believe we are all happy today. I welcome you to the week3 of these engagement challenges and I am looking forward to reading a lot of beautiful things that make you guys smile.

I love to be happy, and I believe none of us cherish sadness. Unfortunately, we derive our smiles from different things. What makes me smile, might be the cause of someone's grief. For example, I love catching fun in the rain, but thousands of people are against rain touching them. As for some people, rain makes them sick.

What makes you smile?

I have a lot of things and people that make me smile 😁. For example, I have friends like Kenneth, Victor, and Gambo that always put a smile on my face. I can tell you that those guys are so amazing. Very funny characters. I can't even remember a boring moment around them.

Guess what, I also make myself smile. Sometimes I go out of my bed to see how beautiful nature can be. I look around to see the birds flying and making some beautiful melodies, and I also see the trees dancing to the beautiful breeze and glorifying God.

Then I will look at myself to see how amazing God has made me, and how far he has brought me in life. After looking at all these things, I always find thousands of reasons to smile and glorify God.

Importance of happiness.

Can the importance of happiness ever be overemphasized in the life of humans? Oh..! No. Happiness is what I consider to be the most vital thing in our lives.

Happiness makes our day bright, it gives meaning to existence, it takes away pains and sorrows, it gives us beautiful memories, etc. Guess what? Happiness makes us even more healthy. If you are happy, you are free from heart diseases, you are free from murmuring, free from tribulations, etc.

Happiest moment of your childhood

As a child, I had thousands of beautiful memories that always cross my mind. I was surrounded by friends, cousins, nephews, and parents that always care for me.

My happiest moment was at one of the ends of the session celebration at school. I can't recall the exact date, but I know it was on December 2009. On that day, I was given an award for the overall best in my class. Wow...!! So amazing right? Well... I worked for it.

My parents were so happy and proud of me. I was happy too. That day, I felt on top of the world 🌎, I was more like a king among my mate. I was excited and blessed to be awarded 🏆 the best out of about 35 students in my class.

Happiest moment currently (no more than 2 years ago)

Every day is a bright day for me. Every moment comes with beautiful memories that keep a smile on my face. I know you are eager to know why I am always happy. It is because I am surrounded by amazing and lovely people.

Nevertheless, if asked to choose the most memorable so far, I will choose 7th July 2021 as my happiest moment. I will tell you why I chose that day. I was admitted into the university in the year 2015. In the course of my study, I experienced running to lectures, having sleepless nights, hunger, lack of money and food, etc.

Finally, after all the bad experiences I had, a day came when I wrote my last exam at the university. I looked at myself, and I appreciated the wonderful work that God has done in my life. No more running to lectures, no more sleeping on books, no more school assignments, and to round it up! I am now a proud graduate. What a beautiful day that will always be remembered. The boy graduated on 7th July 2021!!.

if happiness were the color, with which would you relate it?

I saved my girlfriend's number with Rainbow 🌈. I know you must be wondering why I did that, but relax, I will tell you. The rainbow comprises many beautiful colors with interesting significance. To me, she is beautiful and she means so much to me. she takeaways my sorrows, gives me hope, and makes me smile.

That is exactly the color of happiness. It comprises beautiful moments that make our day bright. Nevertheless, if I were to pick just a single color, I will pick the yellow in a rainbow. Do you know why? Yellow is the color of sunshine and moon day that shines both on the righteous and unrighteous. Yellow is also the color of victory, warmth, and joy.

what do you think is the secret to happiness?

The secret to happiness? Do you know that the reason we sometimes lose our happiness is that we view things from negative perspectives? For example, if you call someone on the phone and he happens not to pick up the call, instead of thinking he is sleeping or not close to the phone, we began to think that the person intentionally refused to pick up. By so doing, we develop grief.

Do you understand the point I am trying to drive? All I'm trying to say is, that our perspective is what determines our happiness. If you view things from a positive perspective, a smile will always be on your face. Likewise, if you give a negative meaning to why something happened, then grief and sorrow find a place in your heart.

If someone criticizes you today, instead of thinking that the person hates you, smile and say to yourself this person wants me to be a better person tomorrow and that is the reason he is criticizing me today. From his or her criticism, you can make yourself better.

In summary, the only secret to happiness is our perspective on the happenings around us. Views things from a positive angle and happiness will always overshadow you. Be happy 😁 and make your day bright.
