It is always a pleasure to share with you girls my daily activities, as I also read and enjoy most of the contents in this community. Indeed it has never been boring since the day I joined this community and I will always do all my best for the community.

The interactions, how often new contents are posted here and many more things makes this community a great and a special one. Today I will be sharing with you how I spent my day at a naming ceremony.

A Day At A Naming Ceremony

It is another beautiful day for us to continue with our life schedules. Hope you all are doing great by God’s grace. Today being Monday, an important and busy day among the days of a week. I was already thinking of how to cope with the pressure of the market today, how I will have to wake up early in the morning and go to the market on time.

It has always been a worry since I came back home from the market yesterday but fortunately on my way, I had a call from one of my friends inviting me to a naming ceremony of her elder sister. After she told me this I didn’t know how to mention that to my mother so that she will grant me the chance to go, I gathered some courage and explained to her that one of my classmates back at senior high school gave birth and the naming ceremony is today.

Immediately she heard that from me, she was like “I just know you are trying to dodge this market 😂” it was funny though but I couldn’t laugh because I wanted her to believe what I was saying is the truth. She said ok but I can go but I should not keep long there because she won’t be at home to cook supper for tonight. I was so excited when she granted my request and from there I called my friend back and told her I will be going with her.

From there we then decided on what costume to put on so that we will also look nice and fit in that occasion, she suggested that we wear a dress we last sew together for a wedding ceremony four months ago. I agreed with her and checked in my clothings to pick that dress out. I quickly ironed it to escape this power shortages that has been occurring recently.

Today early in the morning I woke up, performed all my morning duties and took my bath. I then went ahead to wake my mother up and prepared breakfast for the family, she finished bathing and I served her the breakfast before she proceeded to the market. I was also making arrangements towards the naming ceremony, I and my friend decided to go around 10:00 am.

When it was time she called and said I should meet her at a junction at the roadside, I quickly changed and started moving to the roadside. We got there and the place was already filled with people, indeed it was a nice occasion. Everyone was happy and busy rejoicing. We went inside the house to see the newly born baby and her mother, after that we came out and started taking pictures and rejoicing at the same time.

The occasion was getting interesting and I really enjoyed being present. We ate and took all types of snacks 🥂, danced 💃 and had fun together. It was really a nice occasion and I was happy to be there. We spent all the day at the ceremony and when it was getting to 5:00 in the evening I told my friend we should start going home.

I didn’t want to disappoint my mother by delaying at the ceremony so we depart from the ceremony and head towards home. We arrived home and I accompanied my friend to her house and came back home, I quickly changed my attire and bathed. After I was done bathing, I started cooking and everything was set before my mother returned from the market. Hope you all enjoyed reading my post, that was how my day was all about.
