#Club5050 The diary game-My departmental practical post practicing markdowns 50% goes to womenclubcharity
Greetings to everyone in this great platform, I welcome you all to my page as I include in my diary the practical I did in school in my department. Am a student of University of Ilorin and in the department of Plant biology. Also known as Botany which is the branch of biology that deals with the study of Plant.
Initially I wanted to study Biochemistry but unfortunately my jamb score was lower than the cut off so I had to change it, at first I wasn't that happy about it but later I tend to fall in love with the course because of so many reasons. Part of the reasons are:
1. Plant is life: through plant we obtain our oxygen that we use in our respiration which without it we cannot be alive
2. Through plants, herbs and medicines we use everyday were manufactured.
3. Plants aslo serves as food for both human beings and animals
4. We also obtain fresh airs through plants
Those are the few benefits of plants to us as a human to mention but few... Wow! I am so happy I am studying the course eventually.
So back to my diary game, yesterday was one of my departmental practical which I found existing and really learnt a lot while doing it. We were asked to look for 10 different plants and name each one of the with the family name, botanical name, common name and local names for each of them.
At first it seems difficult to do but when I started the research with my course mates it was really fun and educative.
Here are some pictures I took while the practical was ongoing...
During practical inside lab
After getting all the plants we were told to him then on an A4 paper each with a top bound gum with their details and placed all inside a cardboard paper.

That was how the went I am glad I learnt new things.
Am also using this post to test my markdown styles that was thought by @ngoenyi through a WhatsApp group of SteemWomen Club
I learnt how to justify my posts
How to write headings in bold letters
How to apply citation
How to insert pictures within texts by pulling left or right
Thanks so much for dedicating your time to teach us ma'am am still hoping to learn more from you
See you next time on my daily episode of my diary game
