INTRODUCTION

Blessed evening to each and everyone of you here!!
Today is Monday the first working day of the week, hope you all are having a wonderful evening as desired? Mine is really amazing, recently me and my class mates are on experience at Nnewi teaching hospital Anambra State precisely.
It was is really not easy working in a government hospital, we had a lot of cases today to handle,, in the morning that i resumed duty i didn't rest until when we handed over to afternoon duty nurses.

How The Day Went At Work

Though i haven't perfect in everything going on in the hospital.. actually this is my first experience as a student nurse attending to a patient in a government hospital,, is totally from the procedure we practice in a private hospital because they
normally have critical and chronic cases..
At first when in the morning we was assembled by the Matron in charge of the hospital, she gave us little orientation about the hospital procedure and also shared us to different department in the hospital. I was placed at Accident and Emergency ward.. Accident and Emergency ward is the first place a critical patient is brought in for stabilization before taken to the ward where he/ she will receive proper treatment according to the diagnosis.
As my first time at the teaching hospital i was a little bit nervous because of the kind of critical cases that are being admitted especially in that my ward.. i actually saw lots of cases that at some point i felt like crying, but i had to hold myself because nurses are meant to be sympathetic not emotionally carried away.
There is a man and his wife that was admitted to my ward today..oh! God i felt so sorry for them because they both broke their legs and was bleeding heavily, we had to infused blood on each of them when stitching their leg where the blood are flowing from.. am own pain now is who will look after each other... in this life good health alone is enough to thank God almighty,, alot of people are in pains.. not only that we had a lot of serious cases but as a student i need to walk around and know what is happening in other ward,,, the place i visited was #Maternity ward where pregnant mothers are being taken care of....
My experience today over was they had a case of eclampsia patient
Eclampsia is a critical complications in a pregnant woman case where by there will be protein in the urine, high blood pressure, Odema., this can also lead to seizure and unconsciousness.. A pregnant should be going for proper check up, drinking enough water, eating enough fruits and vegetables also taking their routine drugs...

In conclusion

I really had a stressful and most experienced day in this nursing profession.. at least i can catheterize a patient and even give IM (intramuscular ) injection and some nursing care now😍😍what a day well spent...
