I meet with a woman in a hospital, she was so sobering that she forgot her iphone that amounts to 650 thousand Naira which is equivalent to 6,769 steems, when she was called back for her phone I decided to have brief conversation with her.

She said to me " No hope" honestly I didn't understand her, well I persuaded to know why she looks that dejected, finally she voiced out saying and I quote " I don't have a child, I am not healthy for other options of having a child, my husband doesn't approve adoption why am I still living" I felt so sad
After my conversation with this lady I was inspired to write this post because for a certainty she might not be the only woman facing this situation.

That word infertility means a lot than just what we think.

In a lay man's language infertility simply means when a woman is not capable to have a child of her own due to some medical health issues of either she or the husband.

In rare cases some of those women can't even go for other alternative like IVF and that is where the problem lies, Some can't afford the cost of surrogacy.

This situation can be disastrous and life threatening if care is not taking especially here in Africa where having a child is one of the requirements to be fulfilled by any married woman and sometimes it can be so demanding.

In most cases family members will render all sorts of abuse and give different types of advice to the husband making the situation worse.

Some women are fortunate to have a supportive husband that wouldn't mind while some will have a husband that wants a child by all means even if it means marrying another wife.

In all this is there still hope? Yes there is once there is life there is hope.

How to cope with infertility

Keep a positive attitude.

Even when a woman have seen all the facts showing her inability to have a child positivity is the only way forward.
In most case an infertile woman can be rejected she can be embarrassed and her relationship can get strained, positive mind will help you to cope with those hard times.

Be Patience.

Patience is a virtue, if you can't be positive if you don't have patience so this two quality works together, patience means a lot of waiting attitude, patience will help you to endure all negative threat from outsiders.

You won't feel you have failed or guilty if you cultivate that quality called patience.

Always practice self-care.

Always take care of yourself, get enough sleep and rest make sure you eat good food, always engage in physical exercise because physical exercise helps to uplift the spirit and helps to free anxiety.

Never get tired 😩.

A traveler never stops till he or she gets to his destination.

Infertility is a journey that a woman should never get tired until you get to your destination.
Always follow the right way and do the right thing.
Keep on asking questions, do researches and seek appropriate guidelines.

Never lose faith in God.

This is very good factor that helps us to endure any hard times or trials, when you have faith in God you will be patience you will also not lose hope, you will never get tired and will also do all it takes to take good care of yourself.

Conclusion

Women are strong together, on this note if you are in position to talk to a woman who has fertility issue please be mild and always count your word, do not be too quick to conclude but pay close attention to her word, show concern by encouraging her and giving upbuilding suggestions.

Never blame a woman with such issue because she is already in pains, do not add more fuel to her problem it's better to say "sorry" than saying "you should have" because it only causes more than.
