A typical Aceh cake snack recipe, namely the Timphan Dragon Fruit
Hi!!! good afternoon steemian friends all wherever you are.
May we always be given health always.
On this occasion I would like to share a recipe for Aceh typical cake.
But you are no longer curious about the cake, which is often found in Aceh
Usually available during holidays or other events in Aceh.
The cake which has a chewy taste when eaten and has jam in it is usually used with coconut or serikaya.
For the jam in it, you can make it according to your respective tastes, friends.
This time I want to make a timphan cake that is different from what people usually make.
Usually the cake is made with the main ingredients, bananas or pumpkin, this time I want to make it with the main ingredient Dragon Fruit
It must feel strange when heard, because the fruit is usually processed into juice because of the many benefits and rich in iron in the fruit.
Necessary materials:
Dough ingredients timpan
• 500 grams of Rose Brand white glutinous rice flour
• 1 Purple dragon fruit
• 250 ml coconut milk
• 100 grams of sugar
• /² teaspoon Salt
• Butter
• oil
• Young banana shoots
Steps in making timphan dough
Make dragon fruit compote first
- Peel the dragon fruit, then cut into large cubes
- Then grind the coconut that has been steamed so that the coconut milk is thick and add 100 grams of granulated sugar and teaspoon of salt and then we cook it on medium heat.
- After cooking the dragon fruit compote.
The second step is making timphan jam, which is serikaya
• 6 chicken eggs
• 200 gr sugar
• Pandan paste (I used blended pandan leaves).
~ How to make jam
- Mix eggs & sugar until white.
- Then we put it in the pan and add the pandan paste according to your taste.
- Then stir until thickened over medium heat.
- Jam is ready to be served.
~ Then we continue with making the outer shell of the timphan
• Prepare a tray or place where the timphan skin dough will be made.
• Then enter the dragon fruit that was given the coconut milk earlier.

• Then we knead the dough until it's smooth.
• after knead the dough is ready to be rounded.
After finishing the making for the Serikaya Jam and the outer skin, then we will continue to make it.
1. Take the banana shoots that have been cut into rectangular shapes.
2. Coat the surface of the banana shoots with butter mixed with oil (so that it is easy to open when eaten and does not stick to the leaves)
3. Then round the dough the size of a small ball and flatten it until the dough is flat.
4. Add srikaya jam in the middle and then we roll it up until the dough closes.
5. And the cake is ready to be steamed.
6. Once finished steaming, timphan is ready to be enjoyed.
