My Kitchen Garden | Organic Foods THAT My Family Consume

Hello,
How are you all? I hope everyone is doing well in their lives. Today i am going to share a part of my life. The steps that i take to live a healthier and environment friendly life.

Growing up in the mountains, life for my mother and her friends were more organic than we have right now. They had no access to instant food and fast food. They would even cook a snack from scratch.
Today, having so many options around us, i try to feed my family organic food which is free from any preservatives and chemicals.

Here is my kitchen garden and i am soon planning to expand it.

I grow tomatoes. They are naturally grown thus ensures their higher quality. I use them in meals, in dips and in my organic detox smoothies.

There is pepermint. I love mint.i use it in my food, dips, salads, facemasks and detox smoothies. I also extract the juices and burn it in my scented candles. I have experianced that mint relaxes and calms the mind. So whenever i am stressed, i lit up my organic mint candle and It leaves me fresh and relaxed afterwards.

And spinach. Spinach again goes into so many things and my favourite source of iron. I usually make beef and spinach stew in the winters and everyone in the house loves it.

Other organic foods :

I kept chickens in my backyard a year ago but it was alot of for me so i gave the chickens to a friend. She sends me some eggs every week and keep the rest for herself. I try to feed my kids organic eggs. The chickens are
In open area and without any steroids. I have felt a huge difference in my energy levels after switching to organic eggs.

Organic milk:

Again, pure milk is so rare to find these days. I buy organic goat and cow milk from a relative that is trusted and she doesn’t sell any of the milk to anyone and keeps it for her family only. I insisted to buy 2 litres per day and she being a close relative agreed.
I and my kids drink organic milk which I firmly believe helps in the nourishment and growth of my toddlers.

Apart from this, i try to teach my kids not to rush for candies as a snack instead i try to give them almonds or some other healthier snacks. I won’t say that i am perfect at it but i try my best.

I pledge to everyone that try to add as much organic food as you can. Try to grow them yourself if you have the time, energy and the space. Try to avoid instant food as much as you can as the preservatives in it causes countless health problems. I know living in today’s world we can’t avoid these things but at-least we can try to minimise our dependence on instant foods.
