Healthy questions for all women; Does every absence of your menstrual period (amenorrhea)an indication you are pregnant? By @eliany
Hi women I just noticed the disease of the month and decided to write about it so that we all should be out late and take care of ourselves.
INTRODUCTION
Normally so many women thinks that the absence of their menstrual period is an indication that they are pregnant but does it mean that every absence indicated so? let's find out friends.
WHAT IS MENSTRUAL CYCLE
Let's know the meaning of menstrual cycle menstrual cycle is a series of hormonal process it comes naturally that occurs in the life of every women which makes pregnancy possible this is always a sign that your body is working normally the average length of a menstrual cycle is 28 to 29 days but it varies between women please note that this length is calculated from the first day of your period to the day the next starts.
PHASES OF MENSTRUAL CYCLE
There are four phases of menstrual cycle this includes
menstruation
the follicular phase
ovulation
luteal phase
Out of these there are two common phases that is common to almost all women they are used to, they are familiar because it is discussed more and be physically seen through discharge when we go through this phases. These are OVULATION and MENSTRUATION you can always read about the two other Phases at your leisure time or you chat me up for more information about it but on this particular topic I'll be talking about one phase that's the MENSTRUATION so let's reminds ourselves how this happened.
WHAT IS MENSTRUATION?
It is a process of shedding blood and tissue from a woman's body through vagina this happens on a regular monthly basis let me briefly explain this process. Now every month one of the ovaries releases an egg which then travels to your fallopian tube to towards the uterus if the egg fertilized it leads to pregnancy it will attach to the walls of the uterus but if the earth does not fertilized the thickened lining of your uterus breaks down walls eliminating blood tissue and Marcus from the uterus through the vagina this stage is known as menstruation
Remember this egg fertilized result in the production of a Zygote (pregnancy) of which there will be no need for the thickening lining of the uterus to check out and you will automatically missed your menstruation that's very months and it will comes after delivery.
Now does it mean that every absence of your menstruation indicates that you are pregnant?
My affirmative answer to this question is NO I know some people will be panic if they miss their period but below are other reasons why you missed your periods;
- STRESS; emotional stress can affect the region of your brain that controls the glands which regulates the hormones that stimulate have ovaries.
- ILLNESS; Many illnesses and disorders can interfere with your cycle but as soon as the underlying condition is being treated effectively, it might take a few months before your period returns again, but hopefully it will return.
- MEDICATIONS ; there are some medication that alter your menstrual period
- BREASTFEEDING; excessive production of hormones that causes the release of breast milk, (prolactin) stops your from ovulating and so it result in you missing your menstruation.
- EXCESSIVE EXERCISE
WEIGHT CHANGES;
HORMONAL BIRTH CONTROL
- HORMONAL IMBALANCE
- UTERINE FIBROIDS etc
WHAT TO DO IF THIS HAPPENS
If you miss your period, stay calm do not panic, give yourself a few days to make sure you didn't miscalculate your cycle days or do something to mix up the dates. You can give yourself like 2 weeks and then visit your doctor after that. Should incase the pregnancy test is negative, do not panic still Abide by the rules given by your doctor, make all test recommend by your doctor so as to help know the possible causes. When the cause is identified cooperate effectively with your doctor so to manage whatever the issue maybe to make you fine again.
WHAT TO DO TO AVOID THIS COMING UP
Eat healthy, consume much vegetables and fruits
Moderate exercise
Monitor your weight from time to time
Treatment of all underlying illness, so it won't turn to chronic illness.
- Rest; give yourself some time to rest, take a rest from work or your daily activities. Etc

Great article! What us women don’t go through. When I was a little girl I used to say that I’ll rather go through menstruation than go to the army for national service. Looking back now I am pretty sure I would have chosen the army😊
Hahaha really funny I guess it's because of the pains right?
Yip! Have a wonderful week!
