Steem Women Club Contest #15 D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) Art | D.I.Y Handmade Paper Bag Gift Bag
Gift-giving is a thoughtful, heart-warming tradition that should never feel too complicated. With this simple gift wrapping or gift bag idea, you’ll want to buy gifts for everyone!
Scrambling to wrap a gift but don’t have a bag or a box? No problem! You can learn how to make a gift bag out of wrapping paper in four simple steps. You probably even have the materials you need lying around the house.
Let’s get started!
Materials Needed:
- Wrapping Paper
- Tape
- Scissors
- Hole Puncher
- Ribbons or Handles from old Paper Bags
- stickers, letters and gift tags (optional)
Step 1:
Fold both sides edges to the centre so that they meet with a small overlap of approximately 1 cm. Secure these edges together with tape or glue.
Step 2:
Fold 5 cm (2 inches) over at the top edge and smooth the crease. Open the bottom end so the inside of the paper is revealed.
Step 3:
Fold the left and right edges in, press the corners into triangle shape as shown in the picture, then fold the top and bottom in as well. Use tape to secure the folds in place.
Step 4:
Flip the bag and open. Place your gift in and fold the top over. Then punch holes and insert your ribbon to seal and secure, or you can use some handles from an existing shopping bag and attach them to the inside top of the bag with craft bond glue.
You can also add and use gift tags, letters, cards, candies, stickers and etc if you like.
Note : secure the handles in place with tape for extra support and you can always add a piece of cardboard to the buttom of the bag to make it more sturdy.
I would like to take the oppurtunity also to invite my sisters @karyah1001 , @skyerai and my niece @hagi to join this club contest.
