The diary game||Monday, 30th of May 2022||a search for a place of primary assignment for the NYSC SCHEME in Lagos State.
Hello steemians,
How are you all doing? I trust we are all fine.
I have been busy since the beginning of the new week. My search for a place of primary assignment began on Monday and it has not been an easy task. Ordinarily, I was upposed to go to the NYSC Secretariat for my documentation after which they would post me to a company or school to work in but in this case, it was different.
Lagos is a very busy state and as such it has the highest no of Corp member in Nigeria. Put together, Batch A, stream 1 and 2 Corp members in Lagos state are more than 10,000.
The problem faced in this situation became a place to post Corp members. So it is believed that any Corp member who redeployed to Lagos State has a place of primary assignment already.
This is why I had to look for job. This got me so occupied. Luckily for me I got one.
Here is my diary game entry for Monday, the 30th day of May, 2022.
ACTIVITIES FOR THE DAY
I woke by 7:30am, my cousins were still getting ready for school. My aunt's husband had already called the owner of their school, THE HARVEST LAND SCHOOL, to ask if they needed a corp member so I was asked to come see he principal on that day.
I went to get school by 10am cause I had to give them time to settle in school after their morning assembly. I was taken to the principal's office, stthis point I was scared but I guess it's a nomal feeling you get when you aree going to look for a job.
I got interviewed immediately, she didn't even ask me much questions, I guess she was confindent in having a government property in her school (just as we Corp members are fondly called).
I talked about my field of study, which is BANKING AND FINANCE and how I was issued a statement of result which had AGRIC BUSINESSES as my course of study. I explained what that meant to her, she understood and hired me to be an accounting teacher. I was so happy.
I was asked to come for the letter the next day s that the management would stamp and sign.
I guess I wasn't satisfied with just getting accepted immediately in that school so I decided to walk some more. I went to another school, RACHAM ACADEMY and also meet with the management but here, it's a primary school.
She asked me if I could cope with the the pupils and I said yes, waiting, so anxious to know how much I would be paid. The previous school which was a secondary didn't tell me how much I would be paid specifically rather the principal said I would be paid something alittle bit lower than what the federal government pays us which about 290 STEEM. It sounded nice to me but I still wanted to compare it with others schools.
After the interview with the second school, they told me that I would be paid #15,000 which is almost 130 STEEM with the current price of steem. It was poor to me but I didn't say anything then I was asked to come he next day for my letter.
In my mind, I already chose the first school, THE HARVEST LAND SCHOOLS. In as much as I wasn't told how much I would be paid, I presume it wouldn't be lower than what they primary proposed.
I got home at about 3pm and had to start fixing food for my cousins but I was so tired and couldn't lay my hands on anything so I asked them to prepare indomie when they came back.
I tried to rest a little. At 5:45pm I left the house for church service. We had started a 40 days program and Monday was the 2nd day. I told myself never to miss one day from the program.
I will shared a post about the program some day. I got to church and praised God joyfully. I don't remember if I mentioned in my introductory post that I am a praise worshiper and I sing in church. Well, I am a praise machince, if you understands what that means, let me know in the comment section.

I got home form church by 9:50pm and I was so tired, I couldn't even have dinner, I just had my bath, made a post about my previous day and went to bed.
Thanks for visiting my post
