I want to share with you a great change in my life, something wonderful, I come to talk about my partner, "The Menstrual Cup".

Many of you have heard or read stories about the menstrual cup, others have no idea what is going on, my intention is to share my experience and raise awareness on its use, break myths and create feedback among us.

There are products that are intended to be our allies, provide a quick response and make our lives easier, or that is what they sell us, but because they are accessible, we fall into the clutches of marketing, which has been responsible for hiding healthier, environmentally friendly and less aggressive alternatives.

The reality is that in those days we are super uncomfortable and more if we use products that do not harmonize with our body, that's why we want the time to pass quickly and all those terrible feelings to 100%, disappear, "and you know it".

I tried many brands and with all of them, some more than others, the same thing happened to me, not to mention the disaster I caused when by a few millimeters I placed the supposed protective barrier incorrectly, I felt very sorry and guilty at the same time, it was impossible to externalize, those looks of judgment impregnated with disgust and grimaces of mockery, I did not understand the reason for such rejection, to find myself in the street and stain my pants was a sacrilege I was committing, this began to generate fear to go out, to inhibit me to go to the beach, exercise, a casual outing seemed impossible, in short, in those days where being a woman left pains beyond the physical body, unfortunately the hourglass marked about 10 years with this and other realities, I did not know what to do and had no gentle alternatives that would accompany me to alleviate this process.

The first thing to do is to sterilize it with hot water, the best way to do it is to heat water in a pot to boil and then in a glass container, porcelain or special sterilizer for the cup, preferably for exclusive use, do not use unsuitable plastic containers because when heated they release chemicals that can be unfavorable to your health, once the water is boiled pour it into your container and put the cup for 3 to 5 minutes let it stand until it cools then with your previously washed hands take the cup and fold it in the way that is most comfortable and easy for you. Then, insert it completely into your vagina and check that there are no folds. After using your cup for 8 hours you only need to empty the contents in the toilet, rinse with plenty of water and replace it. Once your menstrual cycle is over, sterilize it and keep it for the next cycle.
