Contest Entry : Tell Us About Your Favorite Steemian

Whilst growing up we have always had people we looked up to. Now this can be in the form of a senior sibling, our mother's, our father's or a family relative. This is the same thing with steemit. When we start out with steeming it is always a difficult journey and we need someone to guide us through the process. From how to write your first post, to making your first post , how to add the tags and Infact how to convert your first steem rewards to fiat or how to power those rewards up.

We don't just go to anyone at all but people we see on the platform who know what they are doing or what they are about.

We all tend to have our role models, we don't just pick anyone at all but people who are doing well for themselves on the platform. We tend to love and appreciate this people because they are doing or they are what we will wanna be in future. So instead of having we idolise them so that we can learn from them.

From the time that I have spent on this platform I have come to pick a lot of people as my role models not just because of what they have now but how they have pushed to get there. This person comes as surprise to me too as I followed her recently after going through her blog.

She is called @patjewell. This might come as a surprise to her as I previously started showing interest in her post by making a few comments here and there but not really engaging with her. Well one might say she is like a mother figure to me. From the look of things she might be age mates with my mom or either can be slightly older.

I took interest in her blog after the results of the curator team application were released by steemit blog and someone complained about the way the curators were chosen. The person was complaining about the benefits the curators are getting and used her as an example.

The way I which she managed to address the issue was something that got my attention. At first glance I didn't see her reply to the lady who wrote that but I saw she posted a link and it was a post she made about it. Instead of ranting in her post she rather decided to tell the steemit community her journey. How she left steemit sometime ago before coming back and being fully committed to the platform.

She made us all aware that she didn't get where she was because of luck but it was through her hard work and smartness.she showed a lot of people how they can manage to get to where she has gotten. In her massage to the steemit community it was all about staying relevant, being consistent and having faith.

My favorite steemian @patjewell comes from South Africa where she currently stays with her family. She is a mother so i see her as my mother.

She creates variety of posts on the platform. From diary games, to busines lessons and also actively involved in the steemit engagement challenge. As I mentioned before she is also part of the curator teams and is very much active and engaging.

I see her as a role model hence she is my favorite steemian. I will one day want to be like her or even surpass where she has reached Inshaa Allah. I can only wish her well and hope she gets to where ever she aims to be in life.
