A SITUATION I FACED AND HOW I WAS ABLE TO OVERCOME IT.

Well, I've never been through a lot of situations in this life. Am not a perfect being and although some of these situations are entirely mistakes or not intentional, I can say that some of them were decided in my head before the actions were taken. I won't say I would love to change those situations. I can say for a fact that these situations could have been worse.

I've been through a lot and today I will tell users about my broken arm. For some people, this might not feel like an ideal situation to talk about but for me, it's something which has changed my life entirely.

As children, we grew up in the volta region; Peki to be precise. My father got posted there so I was in primary 2 when we moved there with my dad, mom, sister and my twin brother.

On a weekend I was playing with my twin brother after it rained. We were running up and down the staircase and testing our testing abilities. In our house then we had a lot of flower pots.

We had a lot of flowers too if you must know. So whilst I was running back to climb the staircase I slipped and fell. Whilst I was falling my left arm hit the flower pot that was just beside the edge of the staircase. At first I didn't think anything happened to me cause I stood up perfectly.

After I was able to stand up I realised that my arm had been fractured. I quickly rushed to my moms room to inform her about what had happened. My mom was in the bathroom so she couldnt come out yet. I told her what happened immediately and all I can remember is that I heard her complain while she was finishing up in the bath house.

Since it was the first time such a thing happened to me I was so scared. I remember that all that while I was asking God why such a thing should happen to me. Mind you, at that time I was in primary 5. I head stories of peoples rotten arms and it being cut off because it wasn't reported earlier or it was not dealt with earlier.

I was so scared, I taught my arm would be cut off. You should've been to see how sad I was. I cried and prayed to God to help heal. Fast forward it took me over a year to heal. During the time of my injury, I felt pain at odd hours of the night.

I couldn't sleep on my side as it would be very difficult for me to wake up from bed. I had to lie on my back and whenever I mistakenly lay down on my arm I needed the assistance of my twin brother to stand up. There were times that I had to take painkillers just to ease the pain. It was a whole year of pain and suffering and to top it all off the treatment was costly.

But God is so good, that they didn't have to cut my arm as the herbalist was very good and he knew what he was about.

For a problem like this, I didn't need to do much but I needed patience and constant medical attention to make sure I was able to heal. I had to rest a lot and also put my faith in God.
