MATHEMATICS gave us a FAMILY😍

It was that time of the year when we bought forms to attend universities. Everyone running here and there consulting people. I had a notion of me being good at mathematics, it should be what I should channel my energy. I never knew what was involved. I did my research on courses relating to mathematics at the university. I didn’t get it clearly till Sheriff came to me, “Bro, Mathematical Science has mathematics in it. You can choose to do mathematics or computer science.” There I thought I was safe not knowing if atheists had gotten the chance to feel hell a bit, they would have been the prophets of the world for Allah.

That was when my journey to mathematical science started. I think yours might be similar to today, we are here together. Level 100 was when we had our senior high school lifestyles. I want to be at the top of the class. I want to be the first in the class. Little did we all know, it never really counted what mattered most just making a good class with the family you started with. As we grew in the department, we also started growing in our minds. That when math 123 thought that we have mathematics with mensuration and mathematics when the menses didn’t come and it results in childbirth. We are now starting the child.

We never saw the picture back then. It was similar a bit so we had hope that as we go high things will change. We climbed two steps higher to level 200. At this level, we made our choices to study whatever we wanted. I never knew we could add two letters to get a letter. I never really know we had a group that was different from what we knew to be when many people come together. In abstract algebra class, I really should have thought enough. But the only hope I cling unto was, that I wasn’t the only one.

Life moved on. We survived level 200 with corona. Online exams did many things for us. We still had the passion to continue because a journey stated should be finished. If we don’t quit, we know we will succeed so we kept going as a family. Assignments were being submitted where we knew nothing, we were writing yet we had solutions. Our love for the family grew till we understood. We are a group that we have an identity element which is for us all to graduate. So, we came together and became inverses of one another. We didn’t just become any group but an abelian group.

Level 300 wasn’t easy in school. double track with 6 weeks. We did our best to sail through. Moving to Level 400, some became leaders. Some lost to others. Emmanuel lost to Akua, and I stepped down to King David. Kengel and Eugene journeying on their political ambitions and many more. We have much to say but we just have to wait and talk it all out when we reach the end of the tunnel. I only hope we have our champaigns ready because I know there would be a brighter light at the end of the tunnel to celebrate with.

Moving to level 400, our family grew stronger. The love increased exponentially. If we are to take it to mathematical biology, I will say our love affair on a phase portrait is a saddle point with initial points at the right side. We learn, and have fun after that as Abdul Wahab will always make us laugh. It’s almost time for us to graduate. Life has given us a lot. Let’s appreciate it before it’s gone. No matter how angry you become with a friend, make peace. We are one. You will never know the value of a moment until it’s gone. In our memories with one another, let’s make more because we never get to choose which we get to keep. We still have time. let’s enjoy it because no matter the amount of time we live and shared, on graduation day will be smiles but the next day will be tears because of the people you will be missing. Make good use of time.

In all, life could have been much simpler in our Last Semester if Calculus had been studied doing INTEGRATION AND MEASURING at the same time. I wonder why we aren’t shifting FOURIER SERIES to solving DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS but rather power series. Maybe if we find an ABSTRACT discrete TOPOLOGY on LIE GROUPS, we could have been able to model it using MODEL THEOREM. All the same, I think all these will make sense getting to see how these equations play out on a phase portrait in MATHEMATICAL BIOLOGY. I hope you enjoyed it. It’s just like simple ALGEBRA.

Sad but have hope.
Life now might hold you back, don’t fall in. level 400 might scare you. Don’t give in. We have been able to move to that level. We will surely survive that level. We have gone through a lot together to give up now. Our hopes lie in one another. We all look up to you. Keep moving as when we get to the bridge, we will know how to cross it. never lose guard. Our story will be inspiring because, at the end of the day, we made it out of the mathematics and statistics department alive. Keep hoping because there is much greatness we will share as we journey to greatness after school.

Make memories but don’t forget to enjoy every moment too. Life is amazing with the right people. I know I have a family; I do enjoy it always. do you?
