The Dairy Game |Memories of a Brass Band Program I went for at Zebilla
Hello fellow steemians, it has really been a while, got busy at school and I have missed everyone here, and I hope everyone is fine?
INTRODUCTION
This is a memory of a program I went to, which took place from 4/06/2022 to 9/06/2022, at Zebilla a town in Upper East Region.
MY JOURNEY AND ARRIVAL
I left Navrongo at exactly 3:23pm and got to Zebilla at exactly 5:46pm on the 3rd of June, 2022, I was warmly received to with greetings and a water of calabash as norm. After I was given the water, I was directed to my place of rest, where I could comfortably have enough rest for the following day. I took my bath and food was provided for me as well. I ate the food and watch television for about an hour, to improve digestion of the food. I went to bed at exactly 9:54pm.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
On the following morning, I woke up from bed at 8:32am and washed my face and took my bath as well. I was then resting in the room (watching early programs) and breakfast was provided to me, which I took and made ready to embark on the journey for the program.
At 12 noon, all the team was ready for the program which was to take place at the nearby village, know as Binaba. We all got ready and our means of transport was provided, which we entered and headed towards the program. We got to Binaba and the people were half way done with their preparations towards the event, so, we were provided with some food to eat, whiles we wait for the people to settle within some few minutes.

The food was actually one of our locally made food(Touzafi), popularly know as “TZ” which was served with Okra soup; very delicious. After we had finish eating, we then set in and started drumming which the people danced too because they really liked our way entertainment. Although though we(the trumpeters) were not natives of the town, we made sure we learnt their local songs before we went there, apparently, we were adequately prepared for the problem.
After we had played for some hours with some intervals of rest, the program finally came to an end which the time was around 3pm. We then packed our instruments and set back home. This then marks the end of the program for that particular day.
As a result of our good display, we had several other programs booked for that week which we attended before I came home(Navrongo), after about a week stay in the town of Zebilla. It was really a nice feeling.
It is really interesting how great you have done to be able to play with such consistency and such long duration even though you do take rest some times.
Thank you very much🙏🏽
This is what we call the great squared. You guys look very great.
Thanks a lot😎🙏🏽
It is an outstanding day with a lot of joy in all your doing. Keep the fire burning.
