The Dairy Game: Harvesting My Rice
Hello to every steemian, I hope by grace of God the almighty father everyone is fit?
This is a dairy on my rice harvest on Monday, 25 October 2021.
Rice farming is one of the crops cultivation that is really very difficult, and it’s almost like a ‘try your luck game’, if you are lucky enough you will get a good harvest, but if you are not lucky too, no profit would be gained from the effort input.
Monday, which happens to be an off day for me, was really a very tiresome and stressful day for me.
I woke up as early as possible because of the the day’s activities that were ahead of me. I recited a short prayer after which I went and washed my face. After washing my face, I then went and pegged my animals as usual, but this time round, the ground is very hard due to stoppage of rainfall and which is also making the grasses to dry off. After pegging them, I returned and cleaned the place where they stay and then proceeded to watch news and daily breakfast shows whiles I wait for breakfast to be ready. Within an hour time, it was ready so I ate my own and then prepared to set off for work.
At around 8am, I took the tricycle which is to be used to convey the rice to their point of sale for them to do some small welding on it.
Whiles they were working on the tricycle, I also went to do some cash out to pay the welders and the laborers harvesting the rice at the farm.
When they were done welding, I went straight to Silos where the sales of rice and storage takes place, because they rice on our other farm was already harvested and transported, so I went to take the Monday and then bring the remaining rice to the house.
I collected the money and then sent the remaining half bag to the house, which the time was already getting 11am. When I got home, we dried the rice and we then picked a motorcycle and went to the other farm where they yet harvesting and to be packed at one place where the seeds removal will be taking placed.
When I got the farm with my sister, the laborers were already there harvesting the rice, so we also started carrying the rice to places where the seeds removal will be taking place.

We worked for about 5 hours, and the work for the day came to an end after I was stung by a scorpion, likely on my part the pain was not much so we continued the work for about another hour. Within that hour, we killed about four more scorpions so due to fears and tension, we stopped conveying the rice, because it might be a bad luck day.
We then goodbye the people and returned home, by then it was almost 4pm. I reported the scorpion bite to dad who is a Physician Assistant and he injected some chemicals into the finger where I had the sting.
I then took my bath and went inside and relaxed on the bed. I woke and it was 6:47pm, so I took supper and went out to my friend’s barbershop just to have fun. I returned when it was getting to 9pm, where I watch television for only an hour and then went to bed for the following day.
This was how my Monday’s activities took place and ended. I was really a very bad day.
