Dear dairy,

Cooking has been part of man since generation.We either learn from the home or through online or books and other sources.

There are various way of preparing a specific dish to give it an amazing flavor and aroma.This week l had the opportuinty to help some student learn how to prepare pineapple juice.

WHY WE CHOOSE TO TEACH THEM PINEAPPLE DRINK

Pineapples are known for it rich nutritional value.It is high in vitamins c which can protect the body against infections especially comon cold.It also contain enzymes which helps the body to fight pains and reduce swellings.

INGREDIENTS

To help the student learn it better we provided them with the ingridents

• Pineapples

• sugar

• water

• ginger

• Grains of selin

• Vanilla essence

The pineapples were wash and peeled with the help of the students.

The pineapples were then chopped into sizes that can be blended.

The chopped pinapples were then blended. w
Whiles blending the student were taught not to add all of them at a go but should be done gradually not over fill the blender.

The blended pineapples were then poured into a bowl and was sieve to remove all fibre.Using the sieve l gradually stirred the pinapple and futhur asked the student to continue.

The students were taught not to throw the pineapples peels aways but they can use it in preparing flavor.

FLAVOR FOR THE PINEAPPLE

The pinapples peels were boiled together and the stock was added to sieve the blended pineapple.Sugar ,ginger and grains of salin was also boiled which is called syrup.

The syrup was added to the seived pineapple juice to give it more taste.Student were taught to added according to the the way they like the suger level or taste.

Vanilla essence was added to give it more taste.

The final juice is the allowed to cool by pouring it into a glass jar.

The student were told that the best way of serving is by chilling it.

It was really fun teaching the children how to prepare the pinapple .I hope you try it on your own or comment with more ways of preparing the pineapple drink.
