WHAT TO DO IN CASE YOUR ACCOUNT GETS HACKED!!!⚠️(ASSISTING IN THE SUCCESSFUL RECOVERY OF @AVAGAH'S ACCOUNT)

As steemians, keeping our accounts safe at all times should be our topmost priority. This is because, other deviant users who may want to steal your tokens are watching closely and would thrive on the least opportunity you offer.
This is why it is of the utmost importance for us to be security conscious. Otherwise, we may engage in some acts that may put our account at risk.
To protect our accounts from hackers, we need to be careful of the sites we visit and where we choose to log in our steemit keys. The moment we do so, we are susceptible to a hacking event if the site was a phishing site.
The golden rule is never trust a third party dapp with your steemit keys and never use your master password. And always make sure to keep them secure and offline at all times.
However, if for some reason, if you accidentally put your account at risk and hackers managed to gain control over your account, you must initiate account recovery IMMEDIATELY!!
Yesterday, I received an unfortunate news that a hacker has attacked one of our steemians @avagah's account, transferred his liquid SBD, and is attempting to power down his hard earned steem power as well.
He quickly informed me via WhatsApp so I made it a priority to assist him immediately with the account recovery, to improve his chances of regaining control, while his steem power is still intact.
Thankfully, I helped him to regain control of his account by following these simple steps below.

Once you have submitted your response, you will receive a prompt indicating the successful initiation of your account recovery. The message appears as seen below.
Thanks for submitting your request for Account Recovery using Steemit's blockchain-based multi factor authentication. We will respond to you as quickly as possible, however, please expect there may be some delay in response due to high volume of emails. Please be prepared to verify your identity.
Note: account recovery could take up to 30 days to complete due to the high volume of requests the technical team may be experiencing. As such, the quicker you initiate it, the better for you.
STEP 2 : Once your recovery request has been approved, you can now confirm your identity through the link you will receive in your gmail.
STEP 3: After a successful account recovery, you will be allowed to generate a new master key of which you can use to reveal the other keys in your wallet's keys & permissions section.

This is great. At least there's hope in such a situation but I read that it will take 30days. Won't tokens be stolen before then?
It doesn't usually take that long to recover the account. In this case, it only took 2 days to recover.
Two days, is it not still long considering what is at stake? Won't the person access the wallet before the blocking finally got finished? To me, it's a long day o.....these hackers can be dangerously smart in bad things you know.
