Tutorial: Maintaining Your Club Status

It is another beautiful day and I am glad we all have this opportunity and the life to continue to express ourselves in love and in joy.

As a community leader one of my key roles has to do with keeping my community members abreast with the latest developments as well as ensuring that rules and guidelines are met that they may continue to enjoy the support and goodness of the blockchain.

And so for today I decided to tackle the issue of club5050, club75 and club100 maintenance which is an essential factor to one been able to receive all the various forms of support available to the blockchain.

Becoming Club Eligible

Let’s begin by first understanding how to become eligible for any of the clubs since it is only after one is eligible that they may be able to maintain.

Club5050, this is the first and most of the clubs it is also the most popular as almost all individuals who are in a club are in club5050. Becoming club5050 eligible is as simple as it goes, all you have to do is ensure that within a month timeframe of backdating from each current day you total transfers tallies with your vesting shares.

And so let’s say for instance I wish to be eligible for club5050 and after checking my transfers from steemworld.org I have a total of say 50steem transferred within the last 30 days, all I have to do is power up an equal amount and I would be club5050 eligible it is that simple.

Now on to club75, for this one needs to backdate up to 2 months and ensure that their total vesting shares or powerups is 3x their total transfers within the last two months from the current date. And so assuming that I had transferred a total of 50steem within the stipulated timeframe all that would be left now is to ensure that I powerup atleast 150 steem and I would be there.

In the case of club100 however we would be looking as far back as 3months and we should ensure that we had not transferred any of our steem out and that everything that came into our wallet was invested back into the blockchain.

It is important that we take notice of the months or timeframe required for eligibility so we don’t end up using a month’s calculation to say we are club100 eligible or club75 eligible

Maintaining the Status

We are now club5050 eligible or club75 eligible or club100 eligible, what next? How do we keep tabs to ensure we stay eligible that the timeframe doesn’t mess with us.

Because a lot of times I come across individuals who believed they were eligible for the various clubs and would be using the ‘appropriate tags’ however would falling short of some amount of steem to powerup.

So just as we did with steemworld.org, it takes just some few minutes to complete the check and would do you a lot of good and keep you from been tagged as spamming the tag.

1. Go to steemworld.org

2. Go to transfer search

3. Input your username in the ‘from’ space and set the appropriate date back, eg. To check club5050 just set the date range from 15th January to 15th February which is today.

4. Now select normal transfer at the ‘type’ space and search. Take notice of the steem amount

5. Now change from normal transfer to transfer to vesting at the ‘type’ space and search. See if the steem amount correlates with the previous one if it doesn’t then you would need to powerup the difference.

We may already know this but there’s nothing wrong with hammering on some of them. This is a very simple exercise that won’t take you more than 5 minutes to complete.

It will guide you in using the right tags for all your posts and also keep you from spamming. In addition it also makes you eligible for the various support available such as steem curator01,02,03 etc upvote, booming support and also support from leadership.

Don’t forget that your powerups does a lot of good to the steem ecosystem and adds value to your own account too. Another bonus feature would be an increased in curation shares when you also support others.
