The Dairy Game | 2/11/21 | My First Day at Work

Yesterday, 2nd November, 2021 was my first day at work as a National Service Person. I must say that I was impressed with the work environment and the people around.

Even though it was my first day meeting most of the people at the office, they were very nice and polite to me.

Despite how good the day had been, it almost started out on a bad note for me.

I didn't actually know that I was supposed to commence work yesterday. So I woke as usual as I did on a normal day, usually around 8am. I got myself doing the little chores like cleaning up the room and figuring out what to eat for Breakfast.

Somewhere around 10:30am I received a phone call from an unknown number off my contact list. I answered and it was a friend of mine telling me that he is currently at the facility where I'm supposed to have my National Service and my name had been mentioned but I was no where to be found.

I hastily rushed things and by 11:00am I was at the Facility. According to my friend, they were told to report on Monday which I didn't even know.

The HR Officer took me to my office and introduced me to my Boss. My Boss gave me a manual to read on the job practice, requirements, and the requisite knowledge on the job.

At the end of the day, we sat and properly introduced ourselves and he promised to introduce me to the rest of the team on Thursday because the rest of the team had gone to the field.
