Greetings everyone,

Today marked the beginning of Ramadan once again and this time, I wanted to also do as much as possible in order to also enjoy the benefits that comes along with it. I used to give excuses that I was too young to actually complete the 30 days fasting period but I have now turned 18 years old which means that it is no longer just an option but rather a necessity for me.

I have to now fast whether I like it or not in order to appreciate how those who do not have enough food or water live on a regular basis. That is truly how we will be able to appreciate and help one another.

I usually don't like to go outside at all during this month of Ramadan since that is how come you lose energy unnecessarily and get exhausted early.

But when it was time for salat, I had to leave to the mosque to say my prayers.

LEAVING HOME HERE

There is a mosque near our area so I can easily say my prayers and come back home without any problems at all. This is something that is good about fasting for me since I really don't have to stress myself much.

Once I was done saying my prayers, I quickly returned home. I was indoors watching some tv and enjoying some movies afterwards.

That way, I would be distracted even if I am hungy.

But finally, it was time to break our fast. And I was given a treat by my cousin who decided to take me out to eat. We had some banku with tilapia afterwards which was quite splendid.

BREAKING MY FAST HERE

I was very happy to have been able to fast today. And I hope to be able to carry on for the days to come. I will see you Godwilling tomorrow.
