The Importance of Mentorship
Mentorship is a key aspect of our growth and development, those who tend to go far in life are those that allow themselves to be mentored. Mentorship would help you avoid the basic mistakes that many have made in life, it keeps you focused and help direct your path, and it also allows you to have access to bigger opportunities that others have already established.
A lot of people undermine the importance of mentorship however it is something I encouraged every one of us to avail ourselves. In everything you do find yourself a mentor, in studying learn from your seniors, in business ventures learn from those who have already made it. Let them teach you their mistakes, let them show you where to invest and how to save, and let them guide and direct you in everything you do.
When you make yourself available and learn from the mistakes of those who have already had that journey before you, you will easily make it in whatever you set out to do, you will be a winner and you will be making very few mistakes in life because there's not new under the sun and whatever you may be going through now someone may have already experienced that and what you will be experiencing in terms of newness would be small.
And so I encourage you today, to take advantage of mentorship, get close to that senior, get close to that friend who knows better than you, get close to those who started that journey ahead of you, and follow in their steps so that you don't have to reinvent the wheel. I do hope you get to make good use of this advice today.

As you have rightly said. When we are supervised, we tend to not make obvious mistakes that would be corrected by our mentors. If we allow ourselves to be groomed we will get to where we want to.
