Love Yourself First

Before we can even learn to truly love others we have to learn to love ourselves first. There is no way one can give out what they do not already have, we give what we have. I believe it is for this reason that Christ said that we ought to love our neighbor as ourselves. This world has one of its leading problems being relationships and its failures and the major source of this is the result of we failing to love ourselves first.

We have all become attention seekers, seeking fame and love from others instead of giving it out to ourselves first. We find ourselves only in others, those we call our boyfriends, lovers, etc and so when they are not available or they fail us we crumple and our world falls apart. We fall into a deep depression and the other unhealthy mental health issues become the order of the day.

The lot rush out to seek out this kind of love and affection from somewhere else without taking time off their heartbreak or their pain to heal probably and find love in themselves, without learning to properly be alone when the need is, embracing everything there is about them that makes them unique.

So rebound relationships have also become another canker trouble our society and when eventually these individuals heal they realize they made a mistake and that the person they may have run is not who they want, they break another's the heart and cause another circle of searching for love.

But there is a simple solution to this and thus what I am here to tell you and thus to learn to love yourself first, above all things and you will just be fine no matter what. Self-love is key, is not feminist, is healthy, and is right. Love yourself.
