Am I suppose to be writing this as a guy?...maybe yes😃. Forgive my manners friends, I guess I was suppose to say hello before writing, I skipped that because it a personal talk with my dairy,my surest companion.

Dear Dairy,

It been a while ,I trust you have been keeping well... I have missed you and am sure it's mutual, can I really remember the last time I dropped by to gist you? I guess no but like the prodigal son am back again.

Am pretty sure you want to know what gist I brought here today. Well I want to gist you about my day out in the market. Am sure by now you know I visit the market on Fridays to get stuffs for the week.

Today's shopping experience was awesome. I think I get better each time I go to the market to get stuffs. Am glad even doing that now since "she" still hasn't showed up...I know she will someday, maybe she is around the corner, who knows...winks

Oh lest I forget, I have started learning how to communicate in Hausa language, it has not really been easy negotiating with those sellers in the market. The language they understand well is Hausa which is one of the major language in Nigeria.

Did I just hear you applaud me for this? Am glad you love what you're reading from me. Okay before I get carried away with all of these, I think it will be cool to tell you all I got from the market right? let's go..

The first thing I bought was Potatoes, it was actually shaded on the ground just as seen in the image below. Each of what was shaded was N200 (1.3 steems) so I got just one of it. I would have actually purchased two but I didn't really plan I will be buying it, I only stumbled into it.

The next thing I bought was Garden egg, I have really been craving for it for the past two days, seeing it in the market gave me joy so I had to buy it. I usually eat it with groundnut, I enjoy it more that way.
So I bought just N100 worth (0.6 steems)

I then proceeded to buy tomatoes. You can see that some of it doesn't really look very ripe, I bought it that way for N100 (0.6 steem) because I wasn't planning to use it anytime soon, I had gotten some before that got spoilt because I didn't use it immediately. Now I believe you understand my reason for opting for the semi ripe tomatoes.

Oh I almost forget to mention Ceaser my friend, we actually went to the market together, he got palm oil for himself, this was the only thing we didn't buy together and that's because I still have some left at home. He got a small size and it was sold for 450 (3 steems)

We then proceeded to where we got the stuffs we needed to prepare soup from Mama Ije's store. She deal in all manner of spices and soup ingredients including stock fish just as seen in the image.

My friends Ceaser also had to grind his pepper from the store next to Mama Ije's store since he would be using his immediately. The image below captured when he was fixing the pepper before taking it to the engine for proper grinding.

...and that was it! We left the market past 2pm after the whole shopping experience. We got home at about 3pm, I was famished as I didn't take anything before going out to the market. Well I skipped breakfast today, my bad...

I had to quickly prepare potatoes porridges with the potatoes I got from the market using the pumpkin leaves, crayfish and other little things I got from Mama Ije's store. I'm not really a good cook but I came out with what you see below.

After this, I relaxed a bit and then by 5pm I went to our Coper's fellowship (NCCF) which lasted for an hour, it was indeed a wonderful time in God's presence. Sharing with you how that went would make up a complete post. I know you don't want me to venture into that...lols.

I came back after fellowship and then did little house chore which actually lingered late into the night. I decided to then make this diary post after the chores. Oh lest I forget, I plan taking the remaining potatoe porridges for dinner.

So that's it dear dairy. I know you enjoyed every bit of what I shared. I would love to drop my pen here, dropping my pen here doesn't mean I won't come to you frequently, like I said, the prodigal son is back..smiles.

This is an excellent day it was for you. Taking your time to get the potatoes was a hard work you did and the other ingredients, I must say you are really hard working. Potatoes is one of my favorites food just that I prefer it fried to any others means of cooking it. However I have no doubt what you have prepared will be tasting great 😋😋😋😋. am I invited?
