WHILE WE WERE YET FRIENDS

While we were yet friends
We joyfully moved with the trends
Standing for each other without bends
As we graciously made amends
In pursuit of going to defend
Each other's interest that tends
To build us up and cleverly blend
Our collective idiosyncrasies that portends
To glue us gleefully and amend
The crooked paths that make us bend

The antics of chronic naysayers
Defined not our moves and players
As our opinions were in different layers
Of views without affirmative sayers
Yeah! We followed not the payers
Who sought to fan the players
To vilify and assassinate us
While we dismissed their rhetorics
To strengthen our joyful bond

Those who fan the embers of disunity
Crave not for true conviviality
As we vehemently oppose the reality
Of chaos, vituperation and brutality
The world is a dangerous place but with love, we make it through.
