Corruption can be found in all nations even in the big countries. Its a social canker which ought not to be entertained when you really want to see massive development within the shortest possible time.

The difference between the too countries and ours is their ability to deal with those who fall short when the law catches them. Aside that the main reason why Ghana and Africa as a whole finds it difficult to deal with corruption is favouritism and sometime tribalism.

Favouritism and tribalism in our part of the world is so intense that, most political leader don't to be seen when they go back to their home town as devils and enemies of development.

Everyone who enters into politics wants to find a way to develop their home town and push their family members into certain areas when they will still live a better life. Most of these people may not have the requisite training and certificate but out of favour for having personal relationship, these people are given the opportunities.

How would a president take his or her own family member to court because of consulting them. This attitude must cease. What most of these leaders do to find someone to put the blame game on.

I am not going to say favouritism in it actual stands is bad but when people really don't deserve and an unqualified person is used then this attitude becomes negative.

An Akan man sees his fellow Akan man in a different environment as his brother and they begin to vibe. This is prevailing in all the various tribes and we should find solutions heads on.

Its gradually climbing down due to intertribal marriages but there are still places and families who frowns upon these things.

Favouritism should be limited in our dealings if we can stop it entirely.
For the purposes of nation building and harmony, these act of who you know should stop to be able to make progress building a prosperous country.
